“Great Condo Vacation Rental”

This place is great! Well located in the Sabino Canyon area with terrific mountain views. There are some nice restaurants within 5-10 mins as well. The units are large and we actually received a free upgrade to a 2BR unit. I would like to recommend to anyone interested in something different than the typical hotel stay.

“Very nice, roomy condo.”

Very clean, easy parking. This is a condo so you do have to go up or down stairs. Stayed one night and enjoyed it very much. The only drawback is the $35 cleaning surcharge.

“Nice condo, poor service”

Very difficult to find. No one would respond to our phone messages. No internet service. Very basic cable TV - local channels only. Other than these negatives, it was a nice condo in a good area with nice scenery.

“Terrible hotel”

When I check in at 2:00, the fire alarm was beeping at 3 rooms. Because they need to be changed the barttery. And I called staffs, but they were very rude, and I requested to switch the room, they said that if I used bathroom, they cannot allow to switch the room. and They emphasized that check in time is 3 :00. Very terrible service!!!!! The mattress was very old. No wireless internet service, but they charge $35 a day. They don't need service fee. No service there.! I never recommend this hotel to others..

Comment from the hotel's management

This guest actually checked-in at 11:30pm (three and 1/2 hours early). Sonoran Suites was aware of the fire alarm issue, mainitenance was scheduled to come fix the issue prior to our normal 3pm check-in time. Since this guest decided to check-in multiple hours early, we were not given ample time to complete the task. We gladly accomodated the guest in a different room without question.

“Beautiful place!”

“Appartment near Sabino Canyon”

The hotel was actually an appartment with two bedrooms/two baths/living room internet in a condominium complex at the edge of Tucson. It was less than two hotel rooms would have been and extremely practical because we could cook our own food - another money saver. There was a pool/hot tub and a gym on the grounds. The only slight draw back: There was no internet (unless you could all the users without security...). Since it is not a hotel, there is no daily cleaning (unless you request and pay for it). If light bulbs break it's easiest to fix it yourself. It is NOT in walking distance to downtown Tucson. But there are several stores and nice restaurants that are only a short drive (10-20 min) away.

Traveler's tip

The appartment is very close to Sabino Canyon (my son jogged there in about 10 Minutes). The sunset view from the canyon over Tucson is great. Saguaro National Park east and west are about 30 Minutes and 1 hour away, respectively. Hiking in all these three places is great! Driving is fairly staightforward and the roads labelled well but there is a lot of traffic in Tucson.
