“Would stay here again for the price”
Built 27 years ago and it would not cost that much to do some updating. Paint, new hardware, thermostat and smoke detector. They are all originals from the 70's. Room was so hot but it was either off or Tucson during the summer. Rate is good for the room.
“Sabino canyon's best”
What a wonderful place to unwind after hiking Sabino Canyon.
“Very nice place”
The rooms were huge and the amenities were ample. Great tennis courts, beautiful golf courses, and good food in the bar and restaurant. Would definitely stay there again. Bring your own shampoo as the hotel's offering wasn't my favorite. Beautiful setting in the foothills.
“Quailty”
We are frequent travelors and generally stay in up-scale hotels. The staff here was to best we have encountered, prompt and went the extra step. Room was very nice and the food experience was great. Not for chilren. We will stay here again.
“Nice hotel with just OK bar/restaurant service”
The hotel was very nice - a little old but the furnishings had been updated. The concierge and valet/bellhop were very nice. The bar had terrible service. There were three bartenders working but they seemed to be too involved in their personal conversations to care about the guests. My husband had to practically shout to get their attention. In the dining room the waiter was at first attentive and then seemed to forget we were there. It took forever to get our check.
“Beautiful Hotel, Beautiful Staff and Beautiful Golf Course.”
The room was out of this world and the staff the best out of all the the places I have stayed at. This also includes Europe. I will return again and again. The golf wasn't bad too. Tony
“Lodge Lover”
We had a great stay at the Lodge at Ventana Canyon. The check in precedure was easy and they were extremely helpful in accomodating our needs. We only stayed for one night but our room was clean, quiet, lots of room and very comfortable.!
“Very Nice Indeed.”
What was not to like. Well actually there was one little thing but it was a peeve with Expedia really. This was one of those book it before you see it deals. No problem there. I was familiar with the area so I was sure the price was excellent. And it was. The problem. I found out about a nightly resort fee AFTER I booked. Okay so it's a nit picky thing because I still super rate per night for what I would consider a four star plus property. But it's the principle of the thing. I would have liked to have known what the full fees were going to be before I made my decision. They did give me the taxes and other fees so what's the big deal about not disclosing the resort fee? Come on now. Other than that I thought the hotel was superb.
“Quiet, beautiful.............”
A hidden oasis............this small lodge is beautiful...........the staff is exceptional. The pool is a bit out of the way but large...........we will definitely stay here again!!!
“A Great Time”
The grounds and service are exceptional. We were excited about having the loft room. I would stay at the Lodge again in a heartbeat, but I would not want the loft set up. I am not overweight or big and am in fact fairly agile, however, navigating the spiral staircase was a challenge. In fact the valet also had a difficult time making it up the spiral staircase with a piece of luggage. But please note that the next time I am in Tucson, I will make a reservation at the Lodge. I also liked the fact that the Lodge reciprocates w/ the Resort at Ventana. This is where the hiking trails are and a few other amenities. By the way, the hiking trail was spectacular.
