Pros: Complimentary shuttle to restaurants and shopping. Red Door Spa.
Cons: Housekeeping did not come until 5pm when we were getting ready to go out for dinner. Large sticky stain on carpet was gross.
Location: Close to great restaurants and shopping. Fantastic views and lights.
Friendly and accommodating front desk staff. Concierge very helpful and picked perfect restaurants for us. Shuttle van and golf carts very quick.

Better than hacienda del sol

Posted Mar 16, 2015
We have stayed at hacienda del sol for three years. While it has better character, they only care about large wedding parties. Weston is outstanding. Food, service , room and relaxing atmosphere. Absolutely loved it.

Beautiful setting close to many trailheads.

Posted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: Very comfortable, beautiful setting (golf course and mountains)
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
Location: We love hiking so that's what we spent our time doing. We hiked Finger Rock Trail, the trails in Catalina State Park, and Sabino Canyon.
Room was very clean and fresh. View was beautiful. Pools were clean and inviting. Loved that there were separate pools for adults only and families. Staff was very friendly.

Paradise in Arizona

Posted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: Beautiful grounds, warm pools, being outdoors in the evenings in the hot tubs or eating around the fire pits.
This is one of the most beautiful hotels I have stayed at. The staff is welcoming, the views are magnificent, the rooms are spacious and clean, the food is good, the facilities are excellent. The perfect place for a relaxing get-away!

Comfortable beds......that's about all

Posted Feb 28, 2015
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and the grounds were beautiful. The pools are fine.
Cons: The food! I opted for a buffet breakfast on a weekday, and it was quite bad. I don't think the scrambled eggs were even real. I think powdered.....
Location: Tucson is a great city to visit. The Desert Museum (more of a zoo) is wonderful. Go out to eat for every meal...Prep and Pastry has a good breakfast
This is a very beautiful place. Lovely grounds, and very comfortable beds. Unfortunately that's all I can say about it that's good. The food was average at best, and the service, particularly poolside, was poor. People around me were being served drinks and food, while I felt virtually invisible. The second day I sat in my beach chair for half an hour and finally had to get a towel attendant to send a waiter over to take my order. The worst part was that he automatically added an 18% tip for himself, which is usually only done for large parties. I suspect that he knew I wouldn't tip him that much considering that he totally ignored me and I had to ask for service. I wanted to have some friends join me for Sunday brunch my first full day there. When I asked Saturday night about whether there was a buffet brunch the next morning I was told no. To our surprise while we were being served the food we'd ordered off the menu, a large buffet was being set up behind us. When I asked the (very slow) waitress about it, she replied that they do a buffet brunch every Sunday. I was very disappointed, to put it mildly. Overall, the place is really overpriced. I felt gouged when I ordered some room service and the "delivery charges" were more than 50% of the food charges. In addition, there is a $25.00/day "resort fee", covering parking, use of the pool, and some other things that are usually part of the cost of a room.

Pros: Just about everything except the thin walls and the beds.
Cons: The walls are so thin you can hear everything and the beds were not comfortable.
Location: Fantastically beautiful location, near a lot of great things to do.
My bestie and I had a fantastic time!

Gorgeous location!

Top notch from beginning to end. Started with easy check in amidst a gorgeous lobby! Kent was beyond wonderful as he drove us and our luggage in his spacious golf cart from car to room. He gave us a superb tour of the grounds along the way while pointing out cactus, mountains and amenities. Loved this resort beyond words! Pools are beautiful and our kids loved the water slide. Felt like we stepped onto a movie set! So amazingly gorgeous!

Nice resort centrally located

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: The pools against the mountain landscape made a very relaxing place to spend the afternoon.
Cons: Slow service and cool food made it seem like we were being robbed for our $40 breakfast for two (two entrees, a juice, and a side of bacon)
Location: Sabino Canyon and Mt Lemmon are close and enjoyable places to spend the day. The botanical garden was ok. Great restaurants close by. Vivace in part.
The resort has a shuttle that will take you anywhere within a 3 mile radius, but everything you need is on property,. When we did go "off campus" it was easy to navigate around this easy to get to resort. The rooms were beautiful and spotless. They keep the grounds and landscaping very nice as well. The staff was eager to please. The pools/whirlpool were great. I didn't use the tennis courts or golf course but they looked wonderful. The only caveat was the hotel restaurant Azul. The food was only so/so and lukewarm by the time it got to our table. Maybe outdoor seating isn't such a good idea when it is so far from the kitchen? The Espresso Bar had great smoothies was fresh fruit though. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Be advised that there is a $25 a night "resort fee" that covers things like parking and internet use.
