Perfect location if needing to stay close to UofA

Everything was perfect except for my breakfast room service order. It never came. I was told it was delivered to the wrong room. They made up for it though and all turned out great.

No, left some clothes in the top drawer after check out called within hours after check out and clothes no where to be found, I guess some of the staff will be well clothed.

Nice hotel on the U of A campus

Posted Jun 4, 2014
Great place to stay if you are visiting the campus. Everything was great. The second day we did not receive any soap, shampoo, etc. also they only left enough towels for two. Not sure is that was an oversight or a policy. I made the hotel front desk aware and they brought the shampoo and other bathroom necessities.

Close to the university

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: Proximity to the university.
I chose the hotel based upon it's proximity to the University of Arizona. The price seemed a little steep for the market, but I was saving the price of a rental car. I was traveling with a young lady who was attending a conference at the U of A We experienced two major aggravations. 1.) The wireless signal in our room was exceedingly low strength with constant interruptions and loss of connectivity, most of the time google and gmail simply would not stay connected. 2.) On Friday evening we attempted to eat in the dining room only to be treated to the absolute worse service I have received in a long time. Our waitress, while polite and sincere, was terribly "new". I watched numerous (seemingly purposeless) trips between the lounge area menu screen and the kitchen. After excessively long waits between initial greeting, receiving drinks, (soda and coffee) we finally ordered our food and awaited our dinner. After waiting over 45 minutes for simple hamburgers and only once being told "only a few more minutes" I called our waitress to the table to inquire what the delay was and to express our growing impatience. I indicated that we would appreciate knowing what the delay was that we were willing to wait another five minutes. My comments seemed to be delivered to the lounge bartender and that seemed to spark a conversation across the way in the kitchen area. However, no one returned to the table with food or new information. We left and enjoyed pizza.

Rick, Thank you for your feedback during your most recent stay with us at the Tucson Marriott, University Park. I am glad to hear the location suited your needs, but disappointed to hear the other opportunities you experienced during your stay. Often when the hotel is sold out, we experience heavy usage of our Wi-Fi during peak usage times, but we have just upgraded the bandwidth this week to accommodate the growing number of Wi-Fi devices that can be connected at any given time. We are constantly adding more bandwidth as the average user has three devices per room. I have spoken with our restaurant team, and have coached them on how to better handle a situation such as the one you encountered. Our items are all cooked fresh, and well-done burgers take upwards of 25 minute to be cooked thoroughly, but certainly should not have taken as long as you mentioned. I personally apologize for the shortcomings you received during your stay. I assure you this is not how we like to operate, and are making changes and taking the time to train our staff further to ensure this does not happen in the future. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future so we can prove how exceptional our service really is. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of any assistance in the future.
