Pros: The fact it was a suite hotel and we secured an excellent rate.
Location: Centrally located to be in the mountains or dessert in short time. Old Tucson Studios interesting. Shopping and lots of great restaurants.
Staff very congenial. Bedroom A/C wasn't cooling. Mentioned to front desk who had maintenance check. Card left in room reporting it had been cleaned and we could now set on 70 degrees. Was a little better but still not cooling as the living room unit did. Couch pretty worn but felt the rest was clean. Convenient location but on a busy street. Beware of early 10 am check out time!

OMG this place is AMAZING!

Posted Apr 3, 2014
Pros: EVERYTHING
Cons: The sofa bed was all springs. Poor kids :( Don't plan on using it for adults.
Location: The desert museum and Air and space museum are really worth visiting! Look at the work 'museum' as fun, outdoor, great for kids place!
What a beautiful resort with awesome amenities! The king size bed was awesome, the Jacuzzi in the suite rocked! Full size refrigerator, coffee maker with delicious free coffee, toaster and stove were so helpful. We saved a lot in food cost by going to a grocery store and using our room facilities. The outdoor pool was beautiful, heated, so useable even on cooler days, as well as the hot tub. All very clean and beautiful. The staff was above and beyond friendly and helpful. Every one seemed to enjoy their job. Truly an amazing place to have such high overall satisfaction! I read some people complained of traffic noise. It is on a busy road. If this is something that bothers you (it didn't me at all), you can request an odd numbered room. That would put you on the other side of the hall way, away from traffic. The sofa bed was the only thing less than 5 star. All springs. Don't plan on using it for adults.

Comfortable, clean, cosy

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: It is clean, comfortable and full of helpful and friendly staff.
Cons: The couch wasn't very comfortable... but the bed was!
Location: There is a movie theater within walking distance, the U of A is down the street, and there are bus stops in front for all directions of travel.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Very attentive and personable. The room was very clean and comfortable. The University of Arizona is a short bus ride down the street (2 miles) and there is a bus stop right out front of the hotel. There were no noisy neighbors or disturbances in or around the hotel. Very family oriented and full of decent people.

Varsity Clubs of America-Tucson

We really loved our stay. The pool/hot tub were great, with music piped in. Wife and kids had a blast playing pool (billiards) and ping pong. The staff was outstanding, not only cheerfully and promptly granting every request, but suggesting additional options we hadn't thought of. The central location was also a plus - 12 minutes or less to everywhere we had to go in the city. The only downside was the road noise. The aptly-named Speedway Blvd was right outside our window. There were loud racers (motorcycle and car) zipping down the blvd at all hours. We live in a very quiet neighborhood, so it was a problem for us. If you are the same, try to get a room on the north side of the complex, perhaps it is a bit quieter.

Clean, comfortable hotel. New furniture, kitchen appliances and utensils. Quite a pleasant surprise for being in the middle of Tucson.

Good place to stay in Tucson

Posted Mar 7, 2014
Pros: I liked the athletic atmosphere and open rooms
Cons: There was too much street traffic on the Speedway side of the building.
Location: The location is fine being across the street from CVS and McDonalds.
The facility was very clean and the staff took care of all of our requests. They were always asking if there was anything they could do to make our stay more enjoyable.

Good place to stay for activities at the Universit

We stay here when we come to Tucson because the price is right and it is close to the University and the East side of Tucson where we have many friends. Our only regret is that they do not serve any food on site.

1 week retreat

Cons: The fire station nearby was a little busy one night, and the street traffic early in the morning got a little loud.
I was in Tucson for the Gem show, this location was very easy to access all areas of the city.
