Weekend getaway

Posted May 4, 2015
The rooms were fine. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. The breakfast was great at the golf club next door. For a great package price.

Would not recommend

Pros: Location
Location: There is not much to do in Green Valley............had a meeting to go to.
If you have to stay in Green Valley the facilities are limited. The units are not very clean, and have a moldy smell. It was okay for a couple of nights, but that is all. We had a one bedroom..........again, okay. Maid service was poor, and the breakfast was horrible.

Most awesome place I have ever stayed at!

Posted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: Everything! The view, the staff, it was so relaxing and peaceful too.
Cons: The restaurant was located across the street, both breakfast and lunch was always great, however the dinners were not very appetizing.
Location: Golfing, shopping, other restaurant's, all within minutes from the hotel.
Suite was very clean and spacious, great view of the mountains, lake, golf course, swimming pool, staff was so friendly, and responded quickly to our needs! We could not have asked for anything more in regards to our stay at the Hotel.

Beautiful hotel!

Spacious and wonderful. Clean, quiet, nice bed. It would have been perfect if there had been a microwave. Delicious full breakfast supplied at golf course grill.

Hotel was neat clean and well presented

Posted Apr 7, 2015
Pros: All facilities were there and working. Meals in the golf club restaurant were excellent and staff more than helpful
Cons: Nothing
Location: Tuscon 40 miles away. Supermarkets and stores not far away
The hotel and adjoining golf club, with the club house and restaurant was excellent. The front of house staff member Jan, was bright cheery and knew where everything was and where to go. Nothing was too much trouble.

Tiny room, no windows

Posted Apr 1, 2015
Pros: The grounds were fine, but I had to go outside of my room to enjoy them.
Cons: See above. The architect who designed this hotel is incompetent. I've never stayed in a hotel without a window.
Location: Come here to golf, hike, enjoy outdoors.
Apparently must book a suite to get a window. My tiny queen room has no windows, but a balcony that faced an air shaft -- which faced the hotel hallway. The hallway had windows facing my room, so I had to keep the curtains drawn throughout my stay. This hotel is 30 miles from Tucson, so one is going for a country experience. The staff were nonresponsive and claimed the Wyndham website cautioned about this (it does not).

Upgraded from a little room purchased through Expedia to a wonderful suite for a very reasonable nightly increase. We were really delighted.

hotel next to golf course and subdivision

Posted Mar 28, 2015
Pros: The resort area overall and in particular the swimming area are very pretty.
Location: The resort is a little out of the way, and we were visiting our daughter and Grand children. When we wanted to do anything, we had to drive a ways.
We chose this hotel because it is right next door to the subdivision that our family was staying at. From the outside, it is a very nice looking facility, but you get what you pay for. We paid for the less expensive room, and that is what we got. there was a window in the room but it didn't open to an outside view. when we looked out the window, we saw an empty shaft inside the building. at the top of the shaft, there was a sky light, and at the bottom there was a small plant area. The shaft was about a ten foot square, and straight across from our window was a hallway the other tenants used to come and go. We were disappointed about this, but again, you get what you pay for. Other than that, the room was pretty much like any other hotel room. The free breakfast was a real surprise!! It was on the golf course just across the street from the hotel, in the regular dining area. This was a very nice restaurant and the breakfast was from a very good menu of breakfast items. We were seated at a table and served by very friendly waiters. The service was good and the food was excellent, they also serve lunch and dinner, but we never tried those times. Although the lunch and dinner are not included, I would bet that they would be worth trying. I am out of characters, so overall, if you just want to relax and play golf for a few days, this resort would be fine for that.

Great desert golf resort!

Posted Mar 23, 2015
This is our second trip to the Green Valley Wyndham Canoa ranch resort. The king suites are spacious, clean ( housekeeping daily) , well supplied kitchen, bathroom with garden tub and shower and washer and dryer. The pool area is nicely landscaped with comfortable lounge chairs. There is a separate hot tube area. Golf course and club house with restraunt an easy 5 min walk from the rooms. I was less impressed with the restaurant this year. Menu descriptions seemed more exciting than the flavor of the food.
