Location: very close to the freeway without the noise. Heard the upstairs people come in at a late time.
Main desk staff was very helpful. Left at 3:50Am and the front desk was manned. Did not try the breakfast since left early. Area has a lot of insects so was not too surprised to find a giant moth and fly in the room. However, the room was very clean. Price was right

Clean hotel with a refreshing pool

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: The pool and the comfortable bed.
Cons: Hotel staff could be more friendly when welcoming.
Location: Tucumcari is a great little Route 66 town and we enjoyed the murals in the town.
Great to cool off after a long drive, in the pool. The king size bed was very comfortable and we slept well at this quiet Hotel.

I would stay again.

Posted Jun 17, 2014
The room was very reasonable at 49.00. The room had a comfortable bed and looked as advertised. The only downside was that they were understaffed. I had to wait 10 minutes behind a locked door when I arrived in the lobby to get the front desk person on duty. The breakfast area and food was better than expected for the price. I would defiantly stay again.

OK hotel with poor WIFI and rude desk clerk

Posted Jun 12, 2014
Pros: Room was clean, water was hot, had refrigerator.
Cons: Clean the pool. Provide written WiFi instructions. When room booked 4 months in advance, should have been given a room toward front , where WiFi works
Location: Town economically depressed and run-down. Few restaurants. Except for hotel clerk, everyone we met was very friendly. Town has dinosaur museum.
Arrived at hotel and waited in line behind a hearing disabled person to check in. He had limited speech ability and signed as he spoke. Clerk was very rude to the deaf person. He filled out paperwork and clerk, with scowl on face, handed it back to him and screamed, " You have to do this over. I can't read any of it". Of course, he had no idea what she had said and he asked her to write it down. After reading what she wrote, he then re-filled out some sections of the paperwork. This hotel allowed dogs. He then showed her a picture of his dog with the dog's weight written on the bottom of it. He was obviously checking if the dog was OK to stay at the hotel. She screamed at him, " I don't know what you want". He then showed her his reservation paperwork showing a dog was OK. She nodded, "Yes", and he left. She never once smiled at him or thanked him for his business. She was also rude to me and gave hotel info about WiFi very quickly verbally, and no written instructions. I never heard a password mentioned. When I got to my room, I could not get WiFi to work in the room and found I could only get to WiFi site outside my room, in a hallway mid-hotel. It required a passcode. There were no written WiFi instructions in the room. When I returned to lobby and asked clerk she screamed, "It's -----, just like I told you when you checked in". Our entire stay, we had to go outside room and closer to the lobby to get internet. Could not use pool, because it was filthy.
