“Great Hotel”
Fun, Hip, Comfortable, Accessible, Great Staff, No Complaints. I will stay again.
“Like a techno Holiday Inn Express”
When you walk in there is a slight sensory overload with the lights and music as you approach the desk. European techno feel. There is a pool table in the lobby behind a screen and a full bar. Now that is a little different. They have good coffee downstairs in the AM but any food you want must be purchased and consists of things like overpriced muffins. No restaurant but every franchise known to man is within blocks but need a car in Tulsa area for everything. The beds were super comfortable and the decor modern. . The room and beds felt large. I swear those weren't queens. Only problem was that there was only one lightswitch for the sink area and toilet room and if you turned it on it would disrupt others' sleep. We borrowed a nightlight from my mom and found it to be perfect so as to not disrupt others sleep. They did not have an ethernet port in the room. Game console capability in room super easy to use. Good value - feels more luxurious than what you pay for. Bring your Starbucks Via packets if you want quick cuppa right out of bed coz their little coffee machine makes terrible coffee. They provided two bottles of water. Outdoor pool and indoor hot tub.
“Best in Tulsa”
Absolutely loved this hotel! Very modern! Most comfortable bed I have ever slept in...service was great!
“Best hotel stay of my business week travels”
clean, quiet, comfortable, close to good restaurants
“1st time visit”
I was very impressed with the Hotel overall, However the Desk chair was narrow and the ambient light seeping through above the excellent pull down shade and below on the side of a/c unit was a bit much. Most comfortable bed I have ever slept on! The Staff were very friendly and the Snack area and restaurant was very well stocked and much variety. The meeting area and conversation area was a comfortable place to wait for others in my party and eat late night to-go dessert!! The sliding doors a nice surprise when struggling w luggage. Can't wait to bring my spouse.
“Visually impressive design, less functional than desired.”
The look of this hotel is amazing. The lounge area has many comfortable seating areas. The staff was incredibly helpful and cordial. The room was beautiful to look at but there are a few design flaws that took away for the comfort and practical use of the room. The bathroom "door" was a panel that slid over the opening which did not provide much privacy. There is no separate light for the bathroom so if it were to be used in the middle of the night, the lighting option would certainly wake up anyone else sharing the room. The shower door did not seal properly leaving water all over the slick tiled floor. The sink was an elevated bowl on the counter and the faucet had limited clearance leaving little room for hands to fit underneath the water flow without splashing everywhere. Two desks but only one chair. No drawers to be found anywhere in the room so clothing had to be left out on shelves or stowed in suitcases the entire time. The beds were extremely comfortable and there were excellent room darkening shades making it possible to have a very dark room for an afternoon nap. The ambiance of the hotel was great but the modern design needs to be tweaked a bit for the comfort of the guests.
“a ultra modern experience!”
Aloft advertises as a new experience and that it was. Very upscale and "hip"...loved the understated furnishings, great shower and storage...very user friendly....clean and comfortable (as it was brand new)...friendly staff...enjoyed the little bar in the lobby and the food items....I'd go back!
“Not Your Father's Hotel”
I think Aloft's slogan is something like "Boutique Hotel on a Budget", and that's pretty accurate. If you want to try something different, this might be your place. From the lobby (with mod sunken bar and billard table), to the elevators, to the rooms, this place in no way resembles the motel/hotels we're used to. Very contemporary, but comfortable. This hotel is close to all of the shopping and restaurants on E. 71st. There's a Dave & Buster's next door.
“IT'S ABOUT TIME”
It's about time a hotel stepped up it's game and started thinking with 21st century ideals! This place is ultra modern and "cool" with a great layout and just plain fun styling that makes you feel like your living in the now and not in the past, like some hotels seem to keep reviving! I was floored by the pool table in the lobby, along with an indoor/outdoor fireplace you could enjoy from a super comfy couch area that rivals my own family room in front of a huge flat screen, or from outside in a courtyard where we found some local musicians playing guitars and jamming for a bit of free background entertainment. Add a fantastic hot tub/sauna room, ample size pool and a well appointed workout room, I was hoping to have to make another trip to Tulsa real soon, however there is an A'Loft in Tempe AZ , which is near me in Phoenix! The front desk was the best. I asked what time check out was because I wanted to plan the most of my last day, and he just asked me, "what time do you need to leave?" and I said I had to be at the airport by three, so he just said, "how about we put you down for a 2:30 checkout?". Now that is classic. Bottom line for me: I would go here again any time when I could, and well look into a weekend get away with the wife in Tempe just because it's really that advanced in customer service and creature comforts, I guess you could say it's not just "a place to sleep" while your on your trip. Last quick note: It's family and couples friendly.
“Boutique hotel in the Heartland”
I have always felt that the midwest outside of large cities misses the qualities of a boutique hotel. Aloft is a mix of boutique hotel and european business hotel. I loved it. My friend and I stayed overnight for a shopping spree. The bathroom spoke of European lavishness-loved the shower. The bedroom had the duvet tucked in and crisp sheets invited a nap later and a great night's sleep. No cheap hotel bedspread in sight. The upholstered bench and mounted big screen were definately great touches. That evening my friend and I went downstairs to the bar. I didn't want the usual drinks so the bartender made one to suit my request-great drink. My only caveat-he needs ice, flavored syrups and a blender so he can make frozen drinks. The lounge area was comfortable for a time to chat. For the price I could get a good room in a chain hotel . But I don't think so. I'll be back Aloft!
