Nice Hotel in Down TownPosted Nov 3, 2013
Pros: Location, fast WIFI, fairly spacious rooms suitable for couples, families and short to medium term business travelers.
Cons: Pay attention to room cleaning.
Location: Zeitouna Mosque, Cathedral, Old City, talk a walk along Habib Burigiba
I have been to Tunisia more than 20 times and so far this hotel is the best value out of 3 hotels within surrounding area and a pocket saver compared to Lac. The hotel has been recently reonnovated however they should pay more attention to the room cleaning. A new restaurant is under refurbishing with ultra modern decoration and the current one serves a limited variety but acceptable quality food.

Great locationPosted Aug 16, 2013
The location of the hotel is excellent and the room was spotless. However, the room was cramped, as our 'triple room' was a small twin room with an extra bed squeezed in. Also, the walls were thin - we could here the next room's TV and noises from outside our room.

Best location in townPosted Jun 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
The best location in town, extremely helpful staff, but...... stayed for three nights and was given an internal room with minimal light. The hotel is under renovation and noisy work started very early. Moved to another room for the other nights which was large and newly renovated. But the bed and pillows were so uncomfortable, and many small things need attention.... light bulbs and tv's that don't work properly, new bathroom with half shower screen so the water floods everywhere... good breakfast if you like it cooked... some fresh fruit would have been nice...plentiful and cheap in the markets. But overall a good hotel and would recommend it.

Good value, location, pleasant stayPosted Apr 28, 2013
Pros: Quiet. Pleasant atmosphere. Nice modern, good-sized rooms and bed. Very nice staff.
Cons: The main elevator broke down for about three days.
The personnel are very polite and friendly. The room was cleaned early each day, the linens changed daily. The hotel on a main boulevard is quiet inside. The main elevator broke down for a few days. The breakfast is so, so but adequate. The location in the ville nouvelle is excellent and good restaurants are nearby in rue de Marseilles.

Excellent - Thoroughly recommended.Posted Apr 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
Carlton is an excellent hotel, offering very spacious, clean and modern rooms. They also have a fridge which is a real bonus. The bedrooms and exterior have recently been refurbished, while the lobby and dining room are yet to be done, but not being too old they are clean, functional and pleasant to be in. Having stayed in several hotels in Tunis, the best thing about Hotel Carlton is its staff. They are exceedingly friendly and helpful, while not being intrusive or annoying. There is a genuine commitment to providing good customer service. I will certainly stay here again.

Wonderful stay in the heart of Tunis City.Posted Mar 24, 2013
For a 3 star hotel, I recommend it. I liked the location of the hotel; in the main avenue of Tunis ( Bourguiba Avenue). A lot of nice stores nearby (clothes, perfumes, etc.) I liked the room so much; more than a 5 star room. The colors, the design, etc.
