"Great living experience in the center of Sidi Bou"
A very nice hotel, located high up in Sidi Bou Said (don't take a cab to Carthage, just go up the main hill in Sidi Bou to find it). The outside and terrace area look more like an old, more traditional style Tunisian abode, while the inside rooms are very modern. The staff were friendly and helpful, although of the three members of staff I met only one spoke English. The room was very clean, and they even folded some of my clothing I had left out in the morning. The breakfast was substantial and well rounded. The only thing is an issue that apparently abounds in Tunisia, and that is paying by credit or debit card. I had to get out cash to pay for my two-night stay, but the staff were very helpful, taking me to a bank and finding me a cab afterwards, so it wasn't as big of a problem as it could have been. Overall a wonderful experience, if a little expensive for a student.

Beautiful jasmine scented, tiled courtyard. Kind and courteous staff. Breakfast by the small but pretty pool. Views of the sea (just one building obstructing the view with building works going on- other than that gorgeous. Sun bathed on the grassy terrace and were brought towels and fresh lemon juice. Small but fresh and pretty room with painted wooden bed frame and ensuite facilities.

If u are going just for the sun and beach this could be for you. The location was extremely noisey and bustling ie well into 4am on Saturday nite. The beach is constantly in use ie from dawn to dusk and very busy. The apartment itself was great the views of the sea were outstanding. We also got pickpocketed at Sousse railway station - I can't emphasise enough how careful you need to be in this respect. The apartment window did not lock but that said it would have been virtually impossible to climb in.
