Tunisia Palace Hotel - TunisPosted May 21, 2011 on Hotels.com
Location is excellent - just steps to the Medina and walking distance to many restaurants. Supermarket just across the street. Hotel staff was extremely helpful. Restaurant was okay but not great.

Expensive, but mostly worth itPosted Jul 14, 2010 on Hotels.com
It is extremely close to the central medina so we were able to take care of any shopping. It's also not a long walk to the TGM stations to La Marsa, Carthage, and Sidi Bou Said. TAXIs are an issue. They are REALLY difficult to get one if you are in a hurry, so if you are in a hurry let the hotel know a little before leaving and they can call you one. We were trying to find a taxi to the Bardo Museum and we ended up with extremely hot and nasty public transport. That's a whole different story... The breakfast is decent, but not great. For the price of the room I would have expected more.

Good hotel, not luxury hotelPosted Jun 30, 2010
This is a good standard hotel. I'm not sure why it is given a four-star rating. Everything is what you would expect of a 3-star rating. The breakfast was not very appetizing - an mix of different foods that didn't look very fresh. The hotel is less than 5 min away from the entrance to the downtown market. In the opposite direction, there are many restaurants and cafes (though many seem to close early. This part of the street is deserted by midnight: everything is closed. This is not the place to go if you want access to nightlife and a beach (though taxis are very easy to get here).

Very nice hotelPosted Aug 29, 2009
Excellent location, it couldn't be more central, friendly staff, nice old and renovated building, good price. Can't think of something I did not like about it. Even a bit

Not a business hotelPosted Apr 1, 2009
Internet not working. More of a dressing table than a desk. Shower impossible to use without drenching the bathroom. But a beautiful building, well located, with an excellent though expensive restaurant.
