Good hotel in Villa de Leyva

Posted Mar 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
I spent five night at the hotel and liked its location ten minutes away from the central square and many restaurants, but not too close to the crowds of weekend tourists. Visitors to Villa de Leyva should definitely take a taxi, or walk an hour to the ruins of the Muisca Indian sacred site called El Infiernito.

Quiet location, yet close to main square

Posted Mar 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
Everything in Villa de Leyva is close, since the town is very small. The nice thing about this hotel is that it is a few blocks from the main square and therefore is quiet. Very comfortable beds, adequate breakfast (though there are many good restaurants less than ten minutes away). Villa de Leyva is a fun town to spend two or three lazy days in.

Beautiful d├ęcor and very comfortable, the beds had duvets, no buffet breakfast as promised. I would stay here again.

Nice hotel in Villa de Leyva

Posted Aug 25, 2013
Pros: The views of the mountains from the rooms. The staff were very helpful.
Cons: The beds were extra firm, so maybe softer beds could help.
Location: Numerous museums nearby the hotel. The dinosaur museum showing the sea reptiles is great. The archeology museums and solar observatory is a must see
The hotel is close to the center of Villa de Leyva and the central square. It is a short walk down the cobblestone streets to the center of town. The staff were very helpful and willing to arrange tours with the local operators. The hotel is safe with a large wall around the complex. The courtyard is a great place to have coffee or aromatic tea.

Convenient and economically-priced

beautiful colonial-style hotel with all of the basics and a little more. rooms are spacious with nice features like stained glass windows, typical wooden furniture and unique art. it's within a few blocks of everything in Villa de Leyva. hot shower with good water pressure. the only negative is that the bed was very hard. otherwise, well worth the price.
