The perfect place to relax

Posted Jan 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
It is a beautiful area surrounded by vineyards. Unfortunately there is nothing else and you cannot go anywhere without a car. But if you want to calm down it's the perfect place to be! They have a very good cook and very nice vines...

Thank you very much Anke for your review. We are happy that you could enjoy our vineyards and restaurant. Valle de uco is indeed a place with long distances in between, and also one of the most lovely places in Mendoza. Best regards!

Avoid it, if possible. Top prices+terrible service

Pros: Location is great, views are incredible (but you will get the same in any surrounding hotel). Valle de Uco is an incredible place.
Cons: Hotel staff is overwhelmed and under-trained. Hotel owners concerned only with cash flow, not with investing in training and hiring enough personnel.
Location: Valle de Uco is a highly recommended location. Plenty of things to do.
The hotel is well located; their value proposition is simple yet attractive: a small vineyard overlooking the Andes. On a personal level, hotel staff is nice, polite and well-intended --they go out of their way to try to please visitors. However, they are overwhelmed and under-trained. Example: the same young lady in charge of check-ins and check-outs, waits tables during breakfast and lunch, cleans the pool, waters the garden and arranges for tourist activities. The result: if you need anything, you'd better arm yourself with patience. The owners seemed to have forgotten that the "boutique hotel" concept is not only about charging high prices but also offering excellent good service. At Postales, you pay top dollars but get sub-par service. You will be much better off at any of the other boutique hotels in the area.

boutique wine lodge Valle de uco mendoza

Posted Feb 25, 2011 on Hotels.com
Our stay at this lovely resort was amazing. From the welcoming staff to the view of the Andes we couldn't have been happier. Although the lodge is outside of Mendoza our time here went very quickly. Our hostess arranged for a wine tour and a road trip to the Andes with private drivers. We were also treated to a private cooking class by the chef. This was a highlight of our visit as we prepared some Argentinian cuisine. My husband and I were very impressed with the dinners. The excellent food combined with the staff made for a memorable stay.
