Adequate for a short stay

Posted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: Central location Breakfast - decent selection, good coffee Free wi-fi Reasonably priced minibar Late housekeeping service, allowing a lie-in
Cons: Lifts are small and cramped, and just 2 are inadquate for the size of hotel 1 lift had a cracked mirror Hotel lacks charm / personality / character
Location: About a 2 minute walk from Porta Susa station, lots of coffee bars and pizzerias within walking distance, nearby street market, nice stroll into town
Spent 3 nights here recently before heading to Milan. Arrived late (around 8pm) and was able to check in without issue. The room I was given was on the third floor at the very back of the hotel, so was quite a trek wheeling my suitcase along the carpet. Room was large - had a hallway with a wardrobe as well as another door to the bedroom. Bathroom was adequate, with a power shower and a bidet. Basic Sky TV and free wi-fi were also provided. There was a minibar stocked with soft drinks, juices, water, beer and wine. I seemed unable to open the shutters outside the window. Breakfast was good, with hot food (scrambled and boiled eggs, as well as sausages) provided. Good selections of breads, cheese, meats as well as cereals, yoghurts and juices. Excellent selection of croissants - crema, marmalade or chocolate filling. Freshly made coffee, comparable with any coffee bar in Turin and a lot better than in comparable non-Italian hotels. One potential issue for vegetarian, Jewish or Muslim guests, was the use of the same tongs for cheese and meat (the meat being ham). Most staff I encountered were able to speak English and assisted in any way asked.

Peggiorato nell'ultimo anno

Posted Dec 8, 2014

Prijs is aantrekkelijk.

Posted Nov 30, 2014
Pros: Camera, location, colazione, prezzo

Gem in a Hidden Treasure of a City

Posted Nov 1, 2014
From my email communications before our stay, to our check-in and check-out, the staff was wonderful. The front desk recommended to great restaurants (one was Michelin-rated), just a short walk away. Two great meals ! We also had two lovely meals in the hotel dining room. This hotel was priced below others, so we were afraid it might not be as good as it turned out to be. One of the best values I have had traveling in the last 10 years !
