"First Trip to Turks"
Our son told us about the Alexandra, where he's stayed twice. We were pleased with our stay. The beach is beautiful and very accessible. The dining was excellent. The room was quite comfortable. Our one "complaint" would be that the property is a little noisy. The way it is constructed the noise from the restaurant and the pool carry to many of the rooms. We were on the 4th floor and yet we could hear some conversations (especially children yelling in the pool…) quite clearly. Also, the loudspeaker music (at the restaurant) is incessant and, we think, louder than it has to be. That could be easily remedied. Bottom line: Would we return to the Alexandra? Yes we would.

Excellent management staff. Condo is fully equipped with everything you could possible need, including kayaks, paddle boards, and other beach toys for young and old. Just buy your groceries and you're all set. Plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Powdery sand beach. Beach chairs and umbrellas. Lovely pool area. Would return in a minute.

"A room with a reef"
The hotel is comfortable, spacious, in a beautiful setting, with two nice pools and an adequate restaurant. What really makes it special is the combination of all that with the reef just off the beach. Part of the reef is roped off to protect it and the roped area is guarded carefully (and necessarily) That still leaves a large amount of colorful reef easily accessible from the beach. Lots of colorful fish, and a few creatures we haven't often seen, such as loggerhead turtles, eagle rays, a very large lobster, and an eel. Snorkeling, relaxing at the pool, having a drink we can put on a house tab...you can't ask for more.

"Wonderful resort for a family with children."
We went to Beaches at Turks and Caicos during March spring break. I heard that the resort was 92 percent full but it never seemed too crowded. We stayed on the third floor of the Carribean part of the resort which was perfect for our needs (two small children ages 4 and 6). The staff was very friendly. There was never a lack of activities for our children. They were not old enough or inclined to let us drop them off at an age appropropriate activity but that option is available for children of all ages. The food was generally very good to excellent and there was a wide variety of food types and dining experiences. We had a wonderful time! On the downside, the bed mattress was very firm and did not suit my sidesleeping habits well---I had a cold or severe allergies and took a short visit to the on site nurse who provided me some Sudafed (that helped my vacation tremendously). On the day of departure, our bags were not brought to the lobby that morning as indicated in the general departure letter I received the evening beforehad. I tried to confirm our departure schedule with the front desk since I booked through Expedia, but I could not find someone at the front desk to actually confirm that the resort knew about our early morning departure flight. I'm not sure the resort is as detail oriented to actually schedule departure times...they seem to have general transportation arrangements for all travelers so it did not turn out to be an issue.

"YEAH :-)"
LOVED the Sibonne. Great location close to the Salt Mills, beautiful beach, pretty gardens, nice room and balcony. It was a quiet place to stay which is what we were looking for. Mostly adults. Loved the Bistro and it was a spectacular location. This was our 5th time in TCI and the 1st at the Sibonne. Will be back next year.

"The condo was OK, close to the beach,National Park"
Northwest Point Resort is OK. It could be Fantastic with better management. Positives: It is quiet and private. It is very close to the wild National Park - iron coast. The walk around the point is incredibly beautiful and there are no people. We spent an incredible day exploring, saw No One. The wildlife is spectacular, there are a couple of good snorkeling spots along the iron coast - but be careful of the Sea Urchins - thousands of them. When you can see the white mooring balls at the edge of the "wall" - where the water drops off thousands of feet deep - you can snorkel out and see lots of beauty. The pool at the resort is simple but great. Negatives: One concierge was inept. Another concierge was OK. The room had no screen door - we got bit by mosquitoes all night. The blinds were broken, the towel bars were broken, the toilet handle broke off - the concierge did nothing. There was a couple with children living above us with a colicky child that cried day and night non stop. There is no restaurant, bring your own food and drinks. It is a far drive ( 20 minutes) from town, plan ahead ! So - because we like remote, rustic locations far away from town, near wilderness and deserted beaches, natural ecosystems with sea grass and stuff washing up every night - we loved it here and had a great time !
