Pros: Small well kept resort, beautiful beaches, great staff. Hobie cats, kayaks, paddle boards, beach toys for kids.
Location: Perfect location, best section of Grace Bay. Blue ocean eco kayaking tour, Bay Bistro beach dining. Patriots game day at Irish pub.
Had a wonderful time would recommend it to families, couples or anyone that is looking for a relaxing worry free vacation.

Great stay at the Sands HotelPosted Jan 11, 2015
Just returned from 6 nights,7 days at the Sands at Grace Bay. Just a great overall experience. We all loved it. While it is not 5 star property it still delivers. Needs some updating, but after a few hours you just sort of go with it. Staff is all 5 star, they were all great,

Turks and Caicos is really just like the Bahamas.Posted Dec 23, 2014
Pros: It was clean. It was compact. It wasn't too noisy.
Cons: There is only one restaurant and I would NEVER eat the food that was served there at home. No choices, poor quality, not even right temperature.
Location: The island is for beach lovers, possibly with children, assuming they bring a sitter.
This island is for people who want to sit on the beach and drink most of the day....not us. We went for a weekend, for a wedding, which was fine. But this is not an island with any culture to speak of, or any social niceties. Because of the small population (<35,000), much of the hired help is from Haiti or the Dominican Republic. The food is also consistently poor, even in the nicer restaurants. It's just not what they do. Compared to the other hotel we visited for the wedding (Beaches), this hotel however was much nicer. A better scale, quieter, somewhat more refined. Beaches is Disney World, if you like that kind of thing....Disney World in complete chaos. This place was just quiet, fine, not top-of-the-line anything, but fine.

Nice hotel on the beach. Good value.Posted Dec 23, 2014
Location: Plenty of shopping and restuarants just down the road.
Three days of sun and beach. Like a lot of islands, food $ drink a bit on the pricey side.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful beach, great amenities.Posted Dec 21, 2014
Pros: The friendly staff and excellent food
Cons: Nothing could be improved.
Location: Location was perfect for walking or riding bikes to shops.
This hotel was just drop dead gorgeous, the grounds immaculately kept. The food at Hemingway's was so just awesome, maybe just a little pricey but once you get your food you will forget the price. Everything we ordered was great. My favorite was anything on the breakfast menu, my husband's favorite was the fish and chips. The bartender was friendly and very accommodating. The waitresses were unlike any on any other island I've been to in the past. They always had a smile, never seemed to mind if we asked for something more, just warm and sincere. Even the other guests were friendly. I've honestly never experienced a vacation like this. We love this place so much that we want to move there. The front desk staff we very nice also. Don't worry about locals begging you for money on the streets or even in the hotel. It's just not going to happen. Stress free!

Perfect location with outstanding features.Posted Dec 21, 2014
Pros: Very well designed and maintained. Color schemes and room amenities were excellent. Location right on the beautiful white sand beach was the best.
Cons: Room service could be a little faster.
Location: The beach location was great. A ten minute walk gets you to some shopping and a few restaurants. You will need a rental car or taxi to get elsewhere.
I've been to the Caribbean numerous times and the Sands at Grace Bay is the best place I've ever visited. The experience of the perfect hotel at the best location on a world famous beach couldn't be better.

Nice condosPosted Dec 20, 2014
Nice condos albeit starting to look in need of an update. Our unit has some cracked tiles, doors that didn't close properly and old looking furniture. Its just age catching up. Great location and friendly staff. Hemingway restaurant on site was as good as always.

Everyone was great.my house keeper was there best. Room 5305..great view .it was so nice we slept on their patio two night. The stairs...I recommend to stay on their bottom floor. Stairs a bit much....Carrie snack like pop corn , chips..just to have. The store down there street is like Publix very clean, and they sell cooked food also.the restaurant on grace bay was great also.
