YOU MUST STAY HEREPosted Jul 27, 2015
This hotel was amazing! It was too big like the other hotels with crowding, the staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were super comfy and clean, very luxurious. A family oriented place on that beautiful island.

A Few Steps To BlissPosted Jul 25, 2015
Pros: I liked the price, beauty, location, staff and cleanliness.
Cons: The only improvement I can suggest is perhaps have a greeter in the lobby with a tropical beverage for arriving guests.
Location: I chose the hotel because of the location. It was steps from the ocean, and within easy walking distance to the center of town.
Words can not describe how pleased I was with Villa del Mar's accomadations, staff, and location. Although considered a budget friendly hotel, Villa del Mar was visually appealing, clinically clean, and quite luxurious. The grounds were lush and well kept, pools were clean and pretty, and the room which was more like your own condo was gorgeous. With cloud soft beds, fully stocked kitchens, and spacious balconies, this hotel made my stay in Turks and Caicos perfect. I was pleased with the light breakfast each morning and enjoyed talking to the caring staff. The beach was mere steps from the hotel so please don't hesitate to book this hotel just because it is not directly on the beach. And oh what a beach!! The shades of blue can only be described as bliss. Having beach attendants was a nice touch. It was great to be able to grab a few towels and some ice cold water while lounging on Grace Bay. My only suggestion would be to maybe have a greeter in the lobby with a small tropical drink like most hotels in the Caribbean do. It doesn't nessacarily have to be alcoholic, but a cool frozen drink upon arrival would add a nice touch. They did have a pitcher of water that you could serve yourself. Also by having a more personalized greeter, they could briefly go over a few things about the hotel, tours, and general island info. Overall, I was thrilled with Villa del Mar and will be recommending it to anyone visiting Turks and Caicos.

Excellent ValuePosted Jul 7, 2015
We had a very pleasant stay. The staff is friendly and accomodating. The beach, which is gorgeous, is a mere steps away. The free breakfast is basic, but good. The hotel is within walking distance of a large food store and shopping. Definitely recommend the hotel.

Great Hotel!Posted May 25, 2015
VDM is an excellent hotel and I have nothing but good things to say about it after recently spendings week there. The grounds are beautiful, the room was nice and clean, and the staff and management were very helpful. It may not be an oceanfront property but the fact that it's about a 2 minute walk to the beach totally makes up for it. The only recommendation I had was I wished there was an on-site restaurant but was informed that VDM is planning an expansion into the adjacent lot next year and it would contain more rooms, a pool, and finally, a restaurant. I would recommend VDM to anyone and hope to return soon, especially once the expansion is complete.

Great place, loved itPosted May 19, 2015
Pros: Hotel was comfortable, staff was great. They were really nice, very helpful and always made us feel welcome.
Cons: Maybe the breakfast buffet could be a little more robust, but I can't think of anything beyond that.
Location: Location is right on Grace Bay and right near shops and restaurants. Terrific location.
Villa del Mar isn't right on the beach but it might as well be. It's RIGHT across the street and beach access is very easy. They have their own chairs, towels and space on the beach and if that's not your thing you can lounge at one of their pools. We got a two room suite and it allowed us to cook when we wanted (rarely since the food is so great) and buy things to keep around the place for drinks and snacks. Our unit had a great patio and we spent a lot of time there. The beds were super comfortable and the place was really nice and clean.I went with my wife and my in-laws and everyone had a great time and was able to do their own thing. The staff was exceptional, as are all of the people on the Island. I'd go back here in a heartbeat. Is it cheap, no, but is it worth it - definitely.

Awesome vacation spot for a familyPosted May 2, 2015
Everything about the Villa del Mar was a great experience. Great rooms, great staff, nice breakfast each morning, two pools for the kids. It is about a two minute walk from the beach on the other side a small road, which has the advantage of not having any foot traffic from outside the hotel adding to feeling of safety.
