"Very close to the beach!"
This was a great place for us! It is far enough away from everything to feel secluded and relaxing, but close enough to get to everything with a nice, short walk down the beach. If you're looking for a party this is not your place, however if you're looking to relax and enjoy the beach or a really nice pool area then STAY HERE! At no point did my wife and I have to wait, or have any trouble at all getting chairs or a hammock by the pool or the beach. They have plenty of space for everyone. It does not feel crowded like a lot of resorts do. We will stay here time and again.

"Excellent Stay at Villa Del Mar"
Villa del Mar was just as pictured and everything we expected. We had a two bedroom suite for our family of 5. The ground floor is perfect for families because you are closer to the pool and easily able to bring your breakfast back to your room in the mornings. The staff was genuinely friendly and couldn't have been nicer. The breakfast was adequate, with the normal continental breakfast offerings. The beach really is just across the street. It takes all of 1 minute to get to the sand. The grocery store - Graceway Gourmet - is a 10 minute walk away. The food is expensive, but still less so than eating out. For example a box of cereal was 6-8 depending on the brand. The best restaurant food to be had nearby was at Seaside Cafe, which is at a hotel across the street. The food was good and reasonably priced for the island. The lack of food on the property was a bit of an issue early on for us. I knew that they didn't have a restaurant, but being American I suppose I expected a soda machine or vending machine of some kind. We had to go to the store on our first day to get something to munch on. We either got wrong directions or misunderstood and went the wrong way the first time which led to my family walking for 30 minutes in the heat to no avail. Considering that many guests will have to go to the store they should have a small map or written directions. The beach is amazing with warm water and powder sand. I will definitely come back to this property - it can't be beat!

"Ocean front hotel"
It was a great experience, enjoyed every minute. I wish we could stay longer. Definitely coming back! Every staff we met are very respectful and helpful. We ate dinner, lunch and breakfast at Mango Reef, good tasty food. We saw something on the lunch menu but not on the dinner menu, we asked the server who asked the chef and willingly served the food (Carribean Oxtail). It was the lobster season -- we had lobster cooked differently with every meal! Caicos Tour - Snorkling, looking for conch, and conch salad at Iguana island. Mango Reef restaurant sets up table at dusk for dining at the beach. Relaxing.

Kimberly provided exceptional service from the moment we made the reservation to the moment we left. Romantic setting at this luxurious spa retreat that we found very peaceful and quiet to relax at the end of the day. Recommend car to get around this small beautiful island. While no view of the ocean, you are minutes from everything you need. Loved it!

The capital city of Cockburn Town and the largest city of Providenciales are where most of the people who live here reside.

The islands' official language is English, but many natives also speak Creole. At many of the hotels in Turks and Caicos, guests listen to island music sung in both languages.
