I was in Tuscaloosa one night with my girlfriend for a law conference at the UA Law School. Stayed at the Hampton in Cottondale because it was much cheaper than in the city of Tuscaloosa and it was still only a 10 minute drive to campus.
Hotel was fantastic. Room was immaculately clean. King size bed was comfortable. Ridiculously nice hotel for the price. We were only disappointed that we didn't have more time to stay and enjoy the room.

I have stayed at this hotel before, it has become my hotel of choice when traveling into the Tuscaloosa area. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Rooms are big and clean. Hot tub is great!

The staff was great - especially BJ. They really make you feel welcome.
Rooms were very clean. Loved that I could walk down to the lobby for a Starbucks latte :) The hotel was close to restaurants and to the Univ of Alabama where my son was attending a football camp. So, it was very convenient. Can't say enough about this hotel and it's staff. If you are going to stay in Tuscaloosa - you must stay here!

For the price I was extremely pleased. There were minor glitches that were immediately rectified. 1 complaint, the pool was closed before 1 October, I expected at least it would be open until the 15th. The Continental Breakfast was the best I have seen for a while. Again the hotel staff from the minute I booked in until I left were some of the best.
