Not conducive to work

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: Nothing, really.
Cons: See Box 1.
Location: The University of Alabama is relatively near, but the hotel itself is in a rather run-down part of town beside a vacant lot.
Though the hotel claims to provide internet, the signal is so weak that the internet cannot be accessed. If you want to work from your room, you will need to find something else. The bed looked fine, but it was apparently worn out, as I frequently awakened to find my back hurting. Also, the "free" breakfast is substandard. An all-carb breakfast is unhealthy, and the tiny coffee cups are ridiculous. If the Ambassador wants to compete with similar hotels, upgrades to linens, internet, and amenities will be necessary.

Convenient location to interstate

Ok hotel, a bit over priced. Continental breakfast had bare minimum, plus waffle iron didn't work properly, cold mini muffins and juice dispenser didn't work.

Nice safe, clean hotel.

Pros: Staff.
Cons: Lighting.
Location: Parents weekend
Tuscaloosa and the nearby community is a nightmare for hotels. Very few properties. Almost impossible to find a room during footballs games and parents weekends. Ambassador was about 3 miles from The University. Safe and easy to find. The room was clean, the staff helpful and caring. We were late for breakfast and the staff cordially helped us gather coffee and fruit. You will not be able to walk to a restaurant or nearby bar. Once you check in, you are there for the night (unless, of course, you drive somewhere). If you are looking for romantic getaway, this is not your place. If you need a clean, safe, no - frills room a short drive from U of A, this fills the gap nicely.

Close to Univ. of Alabama and downtown Tuscaloosa

Pros: Convenient
Cons: Bathroom needs to be upgraded for the prices they charge
Location: Didn't really have time to explore, but it is close to downtown and local nightlife.
Overall satisfied but the bathroom was a bit spare, considering the price of the room. Clean and convenient, though.

Hair and dead skin in the sheets. We asked for clean sheets and she only had one set. None of the the pillows had pillow cases and the tub was filthy
