Nice and convenientPosted Mar 28, 2015
The decor, amenities, and breakfast were all good. The elevator works well and has been recently inspected. The staff was very kind. The only negative is that everytime we went to speak to someone at the front desk no one was there. Even ringing the bell and it took quite awhile for anyone to show up. When they did show up they didn't even acknowledge that we had been waiting for a good while. It makes you feel as though you're not that important. Maybe they are understaffed.

Good location, great staff, basic roomPosted Feb 18, 2015
Pros: Staff, location
Cons: Mattresses, cleanliness
Location: Very close to U of A campus, restaurants, shopping, yet quiet. Beside a Cracker Barrel, nearby service stations, just off interstate, but quiet.
Staff and location was perfect. The room did not smell which is always a biggie for me -- old, musty, and for sure a smell of smoke are "can't do's" for me. The beds had very inexpensive mattresses without foam toppers so you were basically lying on springs. The linens were clean, but stained and you just don't want to see any kind of stain on the linens of a strange bed, you know. You just don't want anything to make your mind consider anything that may or may not have happened in the room before you were there. Dropped something under the sink and almost left it there because the floor was not very clean. Granted, you don't walk under the sink, but those are just things that get into my head about how clean/not the room that I'm sleeping in with my children is/not. Very nice people there though, got the impression they are trying hard to make the place a great place to stay.

Loud air conditioner, dirty bedsPosted Dec 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel was disappointing, given the reviews that stated it had recently been renovated. When we arrived, one of the beds was covered in black specks, I assume from the air condition unit that was on its last leg, sputtered and kicking and making odd sounds throughout the night. I've stayed at 11 different hotels in 11 days all around the south and this was the worse. In all honesty, it's a fine enough hotel, a good value, and convenient to the highway. But if I'm traveling though the area again I'll try somewhere else.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great place to stay for a game! Doesn't take long to get to campus from the hotel and the staff helps you find transportation to campus if you don't want to drive. Overall it was very nice.
