UA Campus Tour / Tuscaloosa TornadoPosted Apr 30, 2014
While visiting Tuscaloosa and getting a UA Campus Tour, the recent rash of tornado activity in Alabama did not spare Tuscaloosa or the UA Campus. However this Hilton Garden Inn's staff was proactive in planning for the extreme weather and even evacuated guests to ground floor facilities internal to the structure for safety during the tornado warning and ultimate sighting. The staff provided weather information updates, flashlights, bottled water and checked on guests until the threat of the tornado passed. Unfortunately one UA student was not as fortunate. Super hotel and great staff under adverse conditions.....much more important then how great the beds and pillows are!

Wonderful place to stay!Posted Apr 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
The accommodations were absolutely fantastic! I would suggest this hotel to anyone. The staff, the cleanliness and the food was great! I only wish it were closer to the stadium! But it's only a short cab ride away. I will stay again I am sure!

Stayed night prior to Bama A-day.Posted Apr 21, 2014
As usual, rates are very expensive on football weekends. Wish that wasn't the case but they can get the money. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Grounds were well kept. Overall it was a very nice place.

The drain to the shower was clogged -Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: location was close to the interstate
Cons: their staff caring about their facility
The drain to the shower was clogged. We had to wade through dirty water to take a shower. and because we had booked through Expedia, we did not receive a receipt, nor did they ask us how our stay was - they didn't seem to care about their clogged shower drains.

Indoor PoolPosted Mar 10, 2014
Pros: Staff was excellent and friendly and the indoor pool was a great addition to the kids day
Cons: Having a notification that hotel was renovation lobby
Everything was outstanding form the staff to the room. The only downside and that was from not knowing, or viewing before reservation, the hotel was going through renovations. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

Went to Tuscaloosa to visit my children.Posted Mar 7, 2014
Pros: Nothing really
Cons: Room AC's and better food options
Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Visited the University of Alabama. Tuscaloosa has many nice restaurants.
Hotel was under renovation. Did not know that hotel breakfast buffet was actually a continental breakfast, but the Hilton wanted $7.99 per person. We enjoyed the waffle house instead. Room temperature was very uncomfortable. Room temp was very warm and we could not get the room cooler, so two nights of very little sleep.
