This hotel is disgusting.Posted Sep 8, 2014
This was the worse hotel I've ever stayed at. It's a complete dump. It has a terrible odor, there's mold all over the bathroom and the worst thing: there were ants on the sheets under the covers. I have no doubt other bugs were lurking. We showed the dead bugs we collected to the night manager after she dismissed our concerns. After lots of complaining, we were moved to a different room in the middle if the night. The only difference was that we didn't see bugs in our bed. We were suppose to stay two nights as we were visiting our daughter who's a student at UA, but we couldn't bear another minute in this dump. After lots of arguing, we were credited for the second night. Really??! They charged us full rate for our first night's stay. OMG. STAY AWAY

Clean but very smokey.Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: Clean and a nice breakfast
Cons: The smoking rooms smell terrible!
Location: Close to the university.
The hotel room was clean and the breakfast was nice but the room was very very smoked in. We reserved a non smoking room but there was not one available when we checked in. The room was so smokey that everything we brought in had to be washed to get the smell out. I would come back if I was guaranteed that I could have a non-smoking room.

Staff was not very accommodating With the request of the room . The breakfast did not offer much, could have had some fruit.

Doesn't reservation mean you "reserve: the room?Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Wafflemaker at breakfast.
Cons: Reserve the rooms requested and actually hold them.
Location: Anything near University of Alabama has its advantages.
Reserved a non-smoking room weeks in advance, even called ahead to let them know we would be checking in late, only to be told there were no non-smoking rooms left when we checked in. Nothing like smoky sheets and pillows to ruin a good nights sleep.

Dog friendly hotelPosted Aug 10, 2014
We stay here frequently overnight when traveling from Tennessee to Louisiana . Usually we are extremely happy with our stay. This time, however, we woke up with flea bites and actually had fleas in our bath water. Dog friendly should NOT mean flea friendly!

Scary and sketchyPosted Aug 8, 2014
Bad, left early. Went to a different hotel because rooms barely locked. Truck stop and gas station right outside the rooms. Rooms smelled and the beds were very uncomfortable! My family feared for our lives while we were there for the whopping 20 minutes.

Cheap enough....Posted Aug 6, 2014
Our room had some issues, dirty sheets on arrival, no drain stopped in the bathtub, etc. little stuff aside, was a decent stay, for the price it matched. We didn't use any of the amenities besides the free breakfast, which was decent do it yourself. 2of5 but probably would look elsewhere before we book here again.

Worst hotel in Alabama!Posted Aug 3, 2014
Horrible area - the highway was our back yard and view. Rooms were disgusting, superficially cleaned there were used baby wipes under the bed. Strange people lurked around the hotel especially at night. There was dog feces in the parking lot and we found a used condom next to our car in the morning. We cancelled the rest of our stay there and moved to another hote. DO NOT STAY & La Quinta!

It was a bad area. The hotel had lots of guests "hanging" out in front of their hotel room. Very run down. I would spend the extra to never have that experience again
