WAS my go to hotel, gone too far downhill!Posted Oct 23, 2013
Pros: Not much but the refrigerator worked and the key card did not demagnetize. The lady who checked me in was nice.
Cons: Rude and disrespectful night staff. dirty dated rooms, broken items like AC and microwave, vending machine, terrible beds, lame breakfast
Location: location works for me because of proximity to my family but if you have not been to yucca before go to Santana's and get a California burrito
So disappointing, I have stayed here at least 35 times over 10 years but never again. They have gone so far downhill, at a certain point you have to admit, this place sucks now. WHY? Oh, this could take a while: The staff is beyond rude, the room was dirty and smelled like feet, the beds were hard as rocks (my back was wrecked come Monday), the sheets were scratchy, the same smudge was on the top of the toilet for 2 days till I cleaned it myself, the food in the vending machines was expired and/or melted, the soda machines were out of most things, the air conditioner always has problems (last time it didn't work and this time it was super loud and had a sign on it that it could only be run on high cool), the room was dated to the point of being tacky, the microwave wouldn't turn off by itself, the breakfast used to be decent but now you better like cereal or apples. Oh and the cherry on top They have a "no visitors policy" and the staff will yell at your family for walking you back to your room after a wake. They don't tell you about this policy before or even when you check in. Nope, they just start scolding you like a bad dog screaming at you from the other end of the hall. This woman was threatening to charge me extra for my brother and a family friend dropping me off and accusing us of having a party. She even said she was watching us walk in on the cameras, which was just creepy. She ruined my stay and made a hard time even harder.

Near to Joshua Tree National ParkPosted Oct 12, 2013
Pros: The warm welcome and friendly staff Value for money
Cons: Simple maintenance- The drawer unit in our room was broken but there was plenty of other storage so it didn't spoil our stay
Location: Easy access to Palm Springs for Aerial Tramway, dining and general ambience, and to Joshua Tree National Park
We arrived late and tired and were very warmly welcomed. We had intended to visit the National Park, which was closed due to the federal shutdown. We did, however, enjoy a visit to Pam Springs. Breakfast was as expected and efficiently managed. The atmosphere in the lobby was very friendly.
