Very nice place. The Japanese Restaurant on the premesis was very good. When I go back to Yucca Valley I will stay there again. Very clean.

I really enjoyed myself at this hotel, which I've been told was originally called the Yucca Valley Inn. My only minor quiibble is that I wasn't able to figure out the alarm clock or how to call in a scheduled wake up call. I hope to return again to this hotel. Absolutely recommended!

“Exciting & Romantic Desert Getaway”

I was planning a surprise birthday weekend getaway for my boyfriend and wanted to take him to a place we'd both never been, so I chose Joshua Tree National Park in CA. I wanted us to stay some place nearby but not close enough to be bombarded by the constant presence of other tourists, so I chose nearby Yucca Valley. Stumbled upon the Travelodge listing and hesitated only because I had never stayed in a Travelodge myself, but due to the Expedia pricing for that weekend and because it had a pool and hot tub on the premises (imperative in the middle of the hi-desert), I decided to go with it. My expectations were MORE than met! The room was HUGE, the entire hotel grounds was HUGE. You can choose a room/suite in the courtyard, pool, garden, or mountain-view regions of the hotel, and I chose poolside. So glad I did... we had a room RIGHT next to the pool that allowed us immediate access that saved us much needed time as the pool closes at 10 nightly, and we tended to hit it close (9:20/9:45) every night. Game room with FREE air hockey (my boyfriend and I are SUPER enthusiasts!), and breakfast every morning 6-9 am is easy and accessible - and quite popular! We're TOTALLY going back! Only downside, but nothing that detoured us: "garden area" grass was browning and parking lot lanes a little bit small.

“Great place for a reasonable price!”

It was very clean overall. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on! There is an amazing sushi bar next to the hotel. I know it's weird to have sushi in the middle of the desert, but the food was amazing and the prices were relatively modest (I had four pieces of sushi, a 12 piece tempura and a beer for 20 bucks). I highly recommend this place for anyone travelling through the area or visiting beautiful Joshua Tree NP!

The room is large. The only bad thing is that the AC in the room makes a lot of noise.
