Worth a stay

Posted Feb 17, 2015
We stayed there to go hiking in the Joshua tree. It was comfortable. The room was spacious with 2 exits. We were poolside. It pool isn't heated so winter time it's of no use. Hot tub works and They have a small gym. It's good for the price. Close to the west entrance of JTree national park and pappy and Harriet's. The sushi at the restaurant is not bad either.

Almost a perfect stay

Posted Feb 11, 2015
Pros: Nice, spacious rooms with pretty good facilities.
Cons: Shower heads are too low and Wifi didn't work.
Location: Location is fine, although a bit far from Joshua Tree park compared to other hotels. Nevertheless, I don't think you're going wrong by staying here.
This hotel was a good value for the price and was very comfortable and clean. There were just a few things that took it down a bit. For example, I'm a 6'0" male, which is not super uncommon. The shower head was placed just high enough for a 5'3" person to stand under it. I'm not sure who made that decision. As another example, the wifi never worked. We were given a piece of paper with different wifi networks and passwords, but we couldn't connect to any of them regardless of which device we used. There were a few other small problems, which honestly, weren't super big problems.

Pros: Room size was excellent.
Cons: Label on the coffee containers in the continental breakfast. No idea if decaf or not.
Location: Excellent location if attending the annual Ultra4 King of the Hammers race in Johnson Valley.
It's a very nice hotel. Kind of a "sleeper". :) From the road, it doesn't look like much but we were pleasantly surprised.

Nice stay in Yucca Valley

Posted Jan 14, 2015
Pros: Microwave, fridge, comfortable room
Cons: TV had no listing of channels available
I had a gig in Joshua Tree and wanted to stay in the area... I have stayed here a few years ago before it was a Travel Lodge... Nice upgrades. All in all a nice room.

My go to hotel in the area for the retro vibe

Posted Dec 13, 2014
Fantastic pool area with rooms that face the pool and chairs outside the room overlooking the pool area. Hotel has the best vibe in the area as far as I am concerned. Rooms are large and bathrooms have a tub/shower combo with decent tubs for a good soak. The rooms have nice sized mini -fridges, with a separate freezer door/ compartment which is nice.
