Tymbaki is situated approximately 210 miles (338 kilometers) south of the national capital Athens, and 30 miles (48 kilometers) southwest of Heraklion.

Get some transportation head out to Rethimnon, a retail and transport hub for the region, approximately 25 miles (40 kilometers) from Tymbaki. Rethimnon Town Hall, Neratze Mosque and Minaret and Rethimnon Court House are some of the other interesting sights in Rethimnon that should be on every visitor's list.
