Great location for Cadair Idris

Posted Jun 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
My second stay, this time to complete the circuit of Cadair Idris that starts just down the road. Great caring service as before and a good place to stop for a meal as well as to stay. Friendly landlord keeps the conversation going.

GREAT LOCATION ,FANTASTIC FRIENDLY SERVICE,

Posted May 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
I was really impressed with the Location, the very friendly informative service, and excellent food. The overall experience was a very pleasing one that i could not fault at all. The lack of an effective Broadband signal and Mobile network signal, probably helped to make it a "get away from it all" experience. Would recommend to any one wanting a peaceful location with amazing scenic views in any direction from this base. Well done Gordon & Co.

Enjoyable stop over

Posted May 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
Had a one night stop over stay with four other friends, the hotel was clean and comfortable enough but the food was something special and recommend trying both the evening meals and breakfasts. The owner was helpful and in formative of the surrounding location on the whole a good experience.

A Characterful Hotel in Rural Wales

Posted Nov 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had a wonderful weekend in this small 400 year old very quaint hotel. It is cosy, comfortable and very welcoming, with lots of beams and rustic features. The food is exceptional and worthy of a top class restaurant and the owner was very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Because of it's situation between two mountains mobile phone and internet connection were limited, there are also no televisions, but we enjoyed the break from the real world and read books! Very refreshing. Highly recommended.

Weird

Posted Jun 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
I did not feel welcome when I arrived, service was made to look like it takes allot of effort. It felt as if I visited a strange country where they do things very differently to what I am used to, staying in hotels all the time all over the UK

We had evening dinner here and food was excellent plus great English breakfast next day. stayed in room 5 and managed to get good wifi service. Shower was pitiful one of these instant hot water ones and flow very bad with bad temp control. My wife decided not to fight it after my experience.
