We had 2 night stay at Devendra garh and it was totally different experience than traditional hotel and resort. Normally we used to stay in resort but for udaipur we were looking for hotel as there is very less time to stay in hotel and more time for sight seeing. But in budget hotel we were not getting more space to roam around.
Here there was everything you can expect in resort. Owners are personally involved in hospitality and try to make ur holidays a great experience. I would highly recommend you to stay at Devendra garh for peaceful holidays...

Should be rated as a definite 6 star hotel. Faultless . Best pool ever. Horizon room was so luxurious and comfortable to say the very least. Staff really make this hotel perfect. Their friendliness, service, thoughtfulness was beyond and above what duty calls for. Special thank you to Surendra, Naseem, Rohit and Siddhartha at the pool. Sid, you are a very special person. Thanks to all at the Leela palace udaipur. We'll be back .!!

Very clean and comfortable hotel. Staff should allow guests some space and not be standing on their head all the time ;)
Bed mattress is way too soft. Resulting in back ache.
Food was excellent. Location of hotel is very good. Very clean and peaceful surroundings.

"Fully satisfied with stay in Garden Hotel Udaipur"
Hotel was very central ,walking distance to the main City palace ,Pichola lake ,Gulab Bagh but we took a Rickshaw to travel to the most of the local areas.Had a use of a Car and chauffer to travel to Mount Abu and the surrounding areas.Garden Hotel room was very clean.Reception staff very helpful and obliging.Didn't use the Restaurant except on a couple of occasions.Prices were were a little on the high side for this type of establishment although a vegetarian Thali in the Hotel is a very good value just costing 100 rupees. We were very satisfied with the overall stay in the Garden Hotel and would stay again if we return to Udaipur.

Now and again you strike gold with accommodation in India. For me, travelling solo in the 50 plus bracket and no longer wanting the backpacker experience, or the full on 5 star experience, this was one of those times. This place is a gem, set in alleyways a stones throw from Lake Pichola and a short walking distance to all the sites. Rooms and hotel are fresh and well maintained. Staff are friendly, attentive and responsive but not pushy. Roof top restaurant gives exquisite views of Lake, as good as you'll get anywhere. Restaurant is excellent and clean with good range of food, lovely friendly staff who engage on a meaningful level and all at a very reasonable price. Rooms are tastefully decorated with excellent modern bathroom fixtures and new A/C. It's an old building but been well done up. The morning I left at 6am a staff member came to my room and helped with my luggage and they provided packed breakfast without any prompt from me. Breakfast and wifi were included in my package. And to top it off it's very reasonably priced, cheap as chips really. Very professional well run hotel, all things considered, in terms of value for money, the best I have stayed at during my travels through India over the years. Thank you Jaiwana Havelli for a memorable stay. What a find!!!!!

A excellent 4 night stop here. The Major and his wife, and staff, were all very helpful and did everything possible to make your stay welcoming, comfortable and personal. There was plenty of space to sit and relax in the sun or in the shade, in a comfy armchair inside or on the terrace or in the gardens.
Rooms were spacious, comfy, clean, had good views of the surrounding countryside.
There was a minimal choice for breakfast but adequate and tasty. The one morning because there were only a four in the hotel and it was such a sunny lovely morning they moved breakfast from the breakfast room onto the front terrace.
An evening meal was available at Devra if you booked it of a morning. A good selection of home cooked Indian food. They made sure that you had a different selection of food for your evening meal on a subsequent evening with them.
It was well worth the 15 drive out to this residence as it was quiet and peaceful and the views fantastic. You woke to birds singing, and not horns honking(like in Delhi). One of the staff soon sorted a taxi when you needed one whether it be for a quick journey into Udaipur or all day.
There was plenty to do in Udaipur and the surrounding area, including going a walk along the lanes and fields.
Wifi wasn't available throughout the hotel and sometimes they turned it off but if you asked they soon put it on.
If you go to the top of Monson Palace you can clearly work out where devra is.
