A great B&BPosted Sep 26, 2013
Pros: great view over the loch, very clean and comfortable, very private and the host was not intrusive as with many other B&Bs
The owner Mairi was very nice, great location, great comfortable room and bed - excellent breakfast. Had good fun with 4 very friendly sheep dogs. I would definitely recommend this B&B for Ullapool, although it is approx. 10 miles outside the town.

Well appointed room with excellent views!Posted Aug 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
Arriving at the Torran bed and breakfast, I was given a warm welcome by the owner and given an equally warming cup of tea in the lounge. My bedroom was well appointed - good furnishings, roman blinds which matched the duvet, tea and coffee making facilities, comfortable bed and en suite bathroom. My breakfast was of high quality and catered perfectly for the traveller' needs. I would certainly stay here again.

Lovely quiet place near Loch BroomPosted Jul 30, 2013
Pros: It's lovely, peaceful location and beautiful views. The food was really good too.
Cons: I can't think of anything.
Location: Overlooking Loch Broom and a few miles from Ullapool.
It was a really lovely peaceful place to stay. It was so quiet that all you could hear was the bleating of the nearby sheep - it was just wonderful. The views were simply stunning and the room was really lovely. The bed was comfortable and the shower was easy to use. The food was really excellent too and we were welcomed with tea and biscuits! Just what we needed after a long drive from the Isle of Skye. There's wi fi too so you can keep up to date with friends and family.

Good base for exploring UllapoolPosted Jul 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
Torran B&B is a lovely place in a beautiful, secluded area. It was perfect for some peace and quiet! It's about a 20-minute drive to Ullapool, depending on how many sheep are in the road. The owner is lovely, and very organized with her business, which she somehow manages to run in addition to farming. We were glad to have stayed here.

What a super B&B, can't recommend it highly enoughPosted Jun 24, 2013
Pros: The welcome, the accommodation, the food and the views
Cons: There is nothing to dislike
Location: Beautiful views over Loch Broom
We were made to feel very welcome, initially by Mairi's 3 dogs who greeted us in the gardens as if we were old friends, they were lovely. And of course by Mairi who made us feel very much at home. The room and en suite were spotlessly clean and had everything we could want and more, including a lovely view over Lock Broom (as did the lounge). The breakfast was superb, the porridge was the best I'd ever tasted; really creamy and laced with fresh strawberries - yummy. The cooked breakfast was perfectly cooked and extremely tasty. Mairi is a fabulous host who goes out of her way to ensure your every need is catered for and her bed and breakfast is a credit to her. We would not hesitate to recommend it to others and would most definately stay at Torran again.

Unforgettable time in a Highlander's lifePosted May 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
Torran is set in a gorgeous decor of hills and lakes, away in the countryside, a few miles west of Ullapool. This B&B was impeccable, nice comfortable room, very clean, with a guests living room with a fireplace and everything to feel at home. Mairi, our lovely host, lit a fire for us before bedtime, and cooked us a delicious breakfast the next morning. She took care of our every needs. As we were getting ready for the next leg of our journey in Scotland, Mairi invited us to her sheep farm , further down the road, to have a glimpse at the newborn lambs, a few hours old! We were completely thrilled! That was one of our most precious highlight in our adventure. To share a few moments witnessing Mairi's work, right in the middle of lambing season (2013 was a tough one with the cold and then dry weather) was priceless. Thank you again Mairi, you gave us one more reason to love Scotland!

Relaxing with spectacular view!Posted Oct 19, 2012
Location: Although the other side of the loch from Ullapool the drive was lovely and added to the whole Highland experience.
After a beautiful drive along the side of the loch we had a very warm welcome. The views from the house are spectacular! Our room, with a loch view was very comfortable. Gorgeous decoration and bedding. The bed was very comfortable ensuring a good nights sleep. Both the bedroom and the en-suite bathroom were immaculately clean, with the range of products in the bathroom giving it a lovely smell. Tea and coffee making facilities were available in the room, along with a bottle of water. The guests living room was again comfortable and spotlessly clean. Folders on the table gave helpful information about local tourist attractions and places to eat. The owner was also very helpful with local information. Breakfast was delicious, with a great choice. It was served on beautiful Highland Pottery plates. Neither of us needed to eat again until tea time! This was our first time staying in a bed and breakfast, but it certainly won't be our last. We would both highly recommend Torran Bed and Breakfast. Thank you for a fabulously relaxing break!
