Nice hotel close to the Darling HarbourPosted Sep 12, 2013
Pros: Close to exhibition and convention centre
Cons: all good
Location: excellent - hidden gem
Room AC didn't seem to function - was too warm for comfort. Forgot to complain as this was just a one night stay.

Nice mid-range hotelPosted Sep 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
Whilst the hotel is old the room was clean and it's conveniently located. A nice mid-range hotel.

Pros: Location, Location, Location
Location: walking distance to Darling Harbour and George Street. Lots of hills though
Stayed here 10 years ago and last week for 7 nights. No changes to the hotel. The location is great, handy to Darling Harbour and a short walk into town. Rooms are spacious but the woodwork is scratched and marked, Bathroom is okay - love the caddy with shower gel, shampoo and conditioner but it's in the wrong spot on the wall, I had to stand on an angle so that I didn't hit it all the time. Blankets were stained and old, we had to ask for additional blankets and pillows. Couch in the room had a cigarette burn in it, The door to the wardrobe was off it's track and there should have been two not one. Balcony was large but would have been nice if there was a small outdoor setting that could be used. We had some noise issues with neighbouring rooms but know that this can't be helped. Doors slamming when opened though is frustrating and our swipe card would only worked after at least four attempts. Message light on the phone flashed the whole time. Tea and coffee facilities were fine and no mini bar (good). There was a shop close by for anything that was needed. Internet access was terrible. Nothing on my phone and had to use my personal hotspot. Got 24hr access one night, still couldn't log on in the room, had to go down to the lobby where there are no power outlets and I ran out of battery before I got everything done. If you want somewhere close to everything and cheap then this is the place but I don't think I'll be back unless there is a complete refurbishment of the hotel.

Great locationPosted Jun 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
Excellent quiet location, but just 5 mins leisurely stroll to Chinatown. Excellent local cafes. Best of both worlds (bustle of city, quiet of nighbourhood)

They need to aspire to something....Posted Apr 15, 2013
Hot water wasn't hot, TV didn't work half the time, light in the bathroom flickered all the time....generally a poor experience
