Ulumalu is within easy reach of a range of colorful Maui Island’s attractions. Two of the most interesting places to see are the marvelous Hookipa Beach Park and the fantastic Kuau Bay Beach. Two other interesting attractions that are located within a short distance of Ulumalu are the H.A. Baldwin Beach State Park and the Kanaha Beach Park.
To really get a feel for Maui Island, head to one of its fabulous cultural destinations. Take a guided tour, admire the architecture or simply enjoy the fascinating artworks at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center in Kahului and the Alexander and Baldwin Sugar Museum in Puunene.
To surround yourself with nature, visit some of the nearby green spaces. These are great places to relax and unwind. Enjoy some of the tranquil urban parks such as the Maui Nui Botanical Gardens in Kahului. Put on your hiking shoes and enjoy the popular nature reserves for which this area is famous, such as the Haleakala National Park in Pukalani. Walk along the coastal destinations nearby such as the Kamaole Beach Park in Kihei and Kalepolepo in Kahului.
Hit a few balls at the Dunes at Maui Lani in Kahului, amongst the best greens around.
