Not on Union SquarePosted Mar 25, 2015
We had a very nice stay. They upgraded our room which was quite large by downtown SF standards. They also provided us a late checkout (2pm) for an small extra charge. It is centrally located but it not on Union Square.

Beds were extremely uncomfortable. Staff we less then helpful in changing rooms. Water pressure! I was awoken up about 3 times from staff radio's and loud voices in the hallway. Banging from other rooms or staff closets constantly.

Nice location for shoppingPosted Mar 24, 2015
Room need more blankets as it was cold. I would have preferred a regular shower over the handicap shower as I don't have a handicap.

Area where it is locatedPosted Mar 24, 2015
Pros: Staff, and the lobby area was spacious.
Cons: Room Service Pick Up, Cleanliness of the rooms. Remove dust bunnies from under the bed/corners. Bathroom floors cleaner and corners of the counter.
Location: The location is in a rough area, and I would let people know upfront. I left for the waterfront, have no interest in the nearby places.
The hotel was okay. It is a bit worn, and my room, although pleasant enough, there was signs where there was not a well cleaned room. :( Staff is pleasant enough to be sure! The area is a bit on the rough side. So, I tried to be in before it was dark. There were several times I used a cab to go only four blocks. The homeless seem quite aggressive. And panhandling is not what I call relaxing. Right as I stepped out the front, the side, the garage of the hotel. I would have hoped they shooed those homeless away. I was also disappointed returning to my room in the afternoon, there were so many trays outside the doors of the rooms that had been there when I had left in the morning. The hallway smelled as I turned from the elevator. So I was not surprised to see it was from the numerous trays. I ordered a late dessert, and I left the tray in my room upon checking out, with a tip for leaving it in the room rather than on the floor outside like most. I did not want a new person to be as put off as I was with the tray on the floor in the hallway.

Great place to stay!Posted Mar 21, 2015
We had a wonderful time at the Hilton. Rooms are bit small but to be expected with an old city like SF. Beds very comfortable. Hotel bar was fun to hang out after a day of sightseeing. Don't ventue behind Hotel - homeless people everywhere. Big problem unfortunately for SF.

Location: Lots of great restaurant and shops.
Long line check in. Water shut down, not so enjoyable. But location is great!

Nice hotel with great amenities but can get priceyPosted Mar 19, 2015
Pros: Very, clean comfortable pleasant hotel with friendly staff and great service.
Cons: Prices! Internet shouldn't really be $16.99 for a reasonable speed.
Location: A few blocks from Union Square with easy access to the Cable Cars and the F-Market line to the Castro and Fisherman's Wharf.
The hotel itself is very modern, clean and well maintained. The room we were in was just renovated and appeared the furniture was new. The room itself was small by normal standards but considering the downtown location near center of things, I think the price was fair for the room size. Our room had a balcony with outdoor seating and a nice view of the city. Speaking of pricing, guests staying here need to be aware that the hotel is one of the pricier choices. Parking was $47/night for hotel guests, internet was $16.99 a night, breakfast brunch was close to $20 per person at the hotel restaurant and the vending machines sold 20 oz bottles of soda for $4. Again, given the location, I don't think the prices were above other hotels in the same downtown location. Guests staying here though should be prepared to pay more if you want anything other than the room. The only other thing was the hotel immediately upsold us into a better room when we got there. It was a fair deal (the threw in the internet for free and a discount on breakfast in addition to the room upgrade) but guests should also be prepared for a sales pitch at check-in. All-in-all thought, our stay here was very nice and I'd stay here again if in the area. The staff are all friendly and helpful.
