Has gone down-hill over the years

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Location and view are great
Cons: Coffeemakers in the room OR when they go to Walmart to buy for milk, grab a coffee carafe so as your guest checkout on Sunday, they can have a cup
Beds were very uncomfortable... The reservation that I made on Expedia for 2 nights....they processed as 1 night.....so I had to argue with them since Saturday is a busy night for them....they didnt want to give me a room for Saturday night at the price I reserved for AND THE BIGGIE....they said the continental breakfast (Coffee and cereal) was open until 11am....BUT on Sunday they closed it at 10AM.... I found this out at 1040am when I went to get a cup of coffee. Also... no little coffee makers in the room like most places have (and I thought they used to).

Pros: It was located close to the event we were attending.
Cons: The lighting in the room was just a little on the dark side. One more fixture or higher wattage lights would help.

Price for level of quality is too high

Posted Sep 23, 2013
Pros: The front desk man was nice
Cons: Add a sheer curtain to pull during the day that gives privacy but also allows light in. Ensure rooms are properly cleaned and stocked with toiletries.
Location: Convenient location close to Nemacolin Resort and all of its amenities, close to Ohiopyle
We supposedly had a non-smoking room, but it smelled a bit like an ashtray. Cigarette burns in the sheets, dirty pillow case- luckily we had a room with two double beds so we could pick and chose parts of each to feel semi-clean. The bathroom was out of toiletries, we had to go to the front desk to get some. No hairdryer in the room, the iron available was disgusting. Wetness in the rug near the door. The room had black-out curtains, which is nice for night, but there isn't a shade for day, and the lighting is very poor in the room. The heater was a pain to deal with- it was either on full force or off. All of this is expected for a rate of $30-$50 per night. We paid $100. Also, the lodge says it is on a "lake," but it is really a pond that is on the side of the road. Not the tranquil environment I hoped to find in the mountains.

Mountain Get-a-way

Pros: The personal patio outside the room with access to the lake.
Cons: The continental breakfast item choices need to be increased.
The stay was short; but, nice and comfortable. I would stay here again if the need arises.

Not Impressed

Posted Jul 23, 2013
Pros: Not much
Cons: The whole place!
We checked in late, the person who checked us in was not very helpful or nice. The hotel is made up of trailer units connected together in pairs of twos. Felt like I was spending the night in a mobile unit. Beds were hard and bath was ok. Will not be staying here again. The complimentary breakfast was of begals, cereal and juice.
