My family and I were on a week long trip from Northern CA down to LA. Over the course of our trip we stayed at several hotels, but this one by far had the most character and was the most comfortable. We were spending the day at Universal Studios (which was really close by) and wanted to arrange a late check in, I called and spoke with Robert, he was very accommodating. Pulling in you feel like you are taken out of the rush of the city life and into a small community, the rooms were nicely decorated and gave off a relaxed vibe. Free parking and breakfast was also an added benefit!
I would recommend this place to others!

At the time the room was 114$ and I would have easily paid 300$ a night! It's in prime location near the express way and everything is about a 20min drive away. The hotel was honestly the best part of my whole trip to LA! If your ever in the area go here! :)

Wonderful staff, quirky hotel in a great location. Updated rooms are hip, comfortable and clean! Also enjoyed the Tiki Bar. Went through a recent update and is more modern but still maintains some of the old lodge feel.

The staff in particular the concierge (I can't remember his name :( ) went over and beyond to meet my needs. - I had a parcel that wasn't delivered on time and he spent ages helping me organise for it to arrive in Australia as cheaply as possible.
The maids were amazing- we had a sleep in day and didn't leave the room until around lunch time and this didn't phase her at all, and we still returned to a made up room.
Wasn't too far from anything, we paid $30 to get to Warner bros studios and besides that the city walk had everything we needed!
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

Overall good experience, mind you, I checked in around 9 p.m and checked out 7 a.m, I literally just checked in and slept. So I did not get to see any of their amenities, such as pool, spa or bar. Staff was nice, it was quiet when I was there, there is a parking garage which cost 20 dollars a night.
I also had to register a credit card on file, just in case I trashed the room. The charge would be 100 dollars. It was very close to universal studios and 15 minutes from the walk of fame. It was pricey, but not being from that area, I did not know how safe some motels were, so I decided to spend a little bit more for safety and comfort.
