Very helpful and friendly staff. Great view from hotel rooms. And enjoyable breakfast.

“Nice Hotel - reasonable price”

My new husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights of our honeymoon in Switzerland. It was a nice hotel for a reasonable price. We had a balcony room with a nice view. It was nice because it was a little off the beaten path (across the river from the main touristy area). It was nice because the hotel was close enough to walk to the Interlaken Ost train station which is a great starting point for the sightseeing trips to the Top of Europe and Schilthorn. The breakfast was nice, too.

“Very nice, quiet, scenic hotel”

Very nice setting along the river, quiet, away from city noise. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, good cheeses and breads along with a variety of other items. Free wi-fi in the rooms and lobby and it was a plus to have the mini-refrigerator in the room. 15 minute walk from either train station.

“Great people and location”

The hotel was a great play to stay. It's within easy walking distance of the center of Interlaken but far enough away that you can enjoy the views without being distrubed by any town noise. The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful.

“Great place to stay”

I stayed at Goldey for 2 nites. The location of the hotel is fantastic with the river flowing at the front and a hill at the back. Also could get amazing views of the mountains around. It is a very peaceful place to stay couple of minutes walk from town. It is situated close to interlaken ost.

“Better than a 3 star”

My wife and I stayed for a week at the start of July. We had a nice room (305) facing the Jungfrau and river and it was worth the extra money for this view alone! View was slightly spoiled by the large tower block in Interlaken which some town planner should be shot for, but otherwise great. Breakfast was available from 6:30 to 10:00 so plenty of options for the early or late riser. Usual continental fare, plenty of fresh bread and cheese and meats. Fruit and the usual cereals together with a small hot option of scrambled eggs sausages and mushrooms/tomatoes. All the staff were very friendly and pleasant and thankfully spoke English a lot better than I speak German (or French). Location is good too, a short walk to the main street in Interlaken across the footbridge outside the Hotel or a stroll along the promenade to Interlaken Ost station or the other way through Unterseen to Interlaken West. Even strolling it only takes around 15 minutes to get from the hotel to anywhere you need to be in Interlaken. A little bonus was that if you were back early to the hotel in the afternoon there was free Coffee and cake in the lounge from around 3 -5. Very nice for putting the calories back on after a good walk. Upgraded rooms with mountain view are worth it.

“Wonderful location”

The best point about the Goldey Swiss Q is it's location. It is right on the river, with wonderful views of the Jungfrau at the head of the Lauterbrunnen valley. That means that a room with a balcony overlooking the river and Interlaken is essential (although obviously more costly) otherwise you effectively miss out on the very best feature of the hotel. Also, the more floors up you are the better. Despite the great location just outside the centre of Interlaken, which is not the most interesting Alpine town (but on a fabulous site), it truly is only a few minutes walk into town; the best of both worlds. Room was fine, but en suite bathroom was poor, no extractor fan, and very smelly on arrival, although after comments it was "refreshed" as well as possible. Dinner is a set menu which has no choice and only changed every week. Hence, no attraction to eating there more than once a week, and even then the food was very uninspiring, much better to explore the local restaurants, in Interlaken, or even better, in Unterseen, 5/10 minutes walk away. Avaialability of good quality bikes (free) was a plus point.

“Good Swiss Hotel”

A little hard to find on the first visit (it is on the other side of the river), but the Goldey was a clean and modern hotel with very friendly and efficient staff. Very quiet.

We arrived late at night for check-in. The receptionist was very helpful, patient and professional. The room is very clean and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast is good, but it'd be better if they could offer different varieties everyday.
