“Worth staying just for the meals”

We would -- and plan to -- stay at the Fraundorfer again so we can do justice to Garmische-Partenkirchen with a longer stay next time. The Bavarian-style dinner was incredible, outdone only by the breakfast. The atmosphere was jolly, even on a Monday night, and we made fast friends with our table-mates right off the bat. Our kids (teens) were entertained by the dancing youths. Our rooms were out of a Grimm's fairy tale, very quaint, and very quiet. A few words of caution: there is no elevator, and you may have to walk up 4 flights of stairs to get to your room. Try not to arrive at dinnertime, because the proprietress is too busy serving to give you a thorough orientation. Finally, I hope you have better luck than I did getting WiFi as promised. But caveats aside, GO for an unforgettable stay!

“Perfect Bavarian Getaway”

This hotel is even quainter and cozier than what it looks in the pictures. The rooms are upstairs above the restaurant and very clean and quiet. You can't hear any noise from downstairs. Our room was furnished in rustic wooden furniture and was super cozy. The beds were made with down pillows and comforters and were warm and very comfortable. The breakfast is included and it was the biggest most delicious breakfast offering I have seen at any hotel. Dinner consisted of traditional Bavarian food and was delicious too. We spent our evenings downstairs in the restaurant which offered traditional music and a fun and lively atmosphere. The owner and her staff were very nice and helfpful. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a quaint and fun Bavarian experience.
