Amazing place. The staff is amazingly friendly and welcoming. Felt like a home away from home. Incredible hospitality and breakfast options. Couldn’t have picked a better place

Very old hotel looks nice on photos but when you get there the rooms are very small air condision dit not work and very busy street with alot of noice

I would suggest to go somehwere else..this people do not help u at all...they were unable to get payment from my credit card then were rude requesting new payment methods and denying my cancellation request...all that after expedia accepting my credit card....and having the necessary fonds on it...

Great stay! Very helpful and gracious staff. "Queen with two twin beds" room is really adjoining rooms great for families. Convenient and safe location. A great value.

General review of the Hotel facilities
Despite the drawbacks, I would be going again providing that I get a better mattress, better pillows and more reliable wi-fi. ( I was in the 6th floor and it was intermittent). Security (which is very important) is ok and breakfast is superb.

The hotel is OK and within walking distance to many points of interest in the city. It is an old hotel but clean and quiet at nigh time. The two elevators are very old and small but they function well. The breakfast is OK (good coffee) but limited on choices. Overall it is a good hotel for the money.

Ok hotel.
Pros :Location close to the stores ,parks and the beach. I was disappointed with the hair I found in the floor of the bathroom before I used . The housekeeping was very attentive when I ask for towels and toilet paper.I was desappointed when the lady in the reception scrime a guest because he leave the door of the elevator open . The people in the reception overal the aren't very friendly.

Relatively old. Good selection for breakfast but room should be upgraded. Old bedding and towels. Old curtains and plenty of mosquitoes coming into the room. We had to change rooms after the first night as it is a smoking hotel and we didn't know this before we booked.

i STAYED 4 NIGHTS. mY STAY WAS WONDERFUL. tHE HOTEL STAFF ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS. tHERE WAS A COMPUTER IN THE LOBBY FOR GUESTS TO USE THE INTERNET. iT WAS ABOUT A HALF MILE WALK TO THE OCEAN. iT WAS A GREAT PLACE TO STAY.

Close to Cultural Activities
Easy walk from the hotel to Theater Solis and Sodre. If you get a chance, see L'Elisir D'Amore at the Solis and Ballet Nacional at Sodre or any of their productions. The El Milongon show is fun and the dinner is reasonable.

expected type of hotel for URUGUAY. Had a problem with the parking attendant smoking in my rental car. booked a room that hotel.com said was still available and it was not. great breakfast convenient to the city center.

Hotel didn't receive booking, which was disappointing. This meant that I got a standard room despite paying for a room with a view. Hotel is very old fashioned which is lovely. People on reception were not interested in helping me get to the airport any way other than taxi despite having been able to get there by bus.

This hotel is in a fantastic location and the breakfast and free Wifi were great. The staff is also friendly (though English seems limited.) However, my room was quite small. If you're looking for a simple, friendly hotel downtown, this is for you.

Practical hotel.
It was a quick stay for a night. The hotel wasn't superb, but it was nice, the room was clean and the service was correct. It has parking included so the overall balance is positive. The hotel is quite old, but you wake up with a newspaper on your door and the breakfast is really good and full of options.

Outstanding Service
Located in a central area of Montevideo, London Palace Hotel is only a few minutes walking from most well known landmarks of the city including Plaza de la Independecia, Teatro Solis, Plaza Matriz, etc. Overall, condition of the hotel is good and service is outstanding. Recommended.

We only stayed here for one night. The room was large and had plenty of storage. The room was pretty clean (not the cleanest), but generally not bad. Staff was helpful. The hotel is a few blocks away from Plaza Indepenza and in a pretty safe area. The breakfast was absolutely amazing! There was a HUGE buffet. We would stay here again.
