Exactly as expectedPosted Feb 6, 2014
Pros: Position and room.
Cons: Bar area.
Location: Short walk to the main street, and to the old town.
We'd been touring Argentina for 3 weeks, so wanted a restful end to the holiday, and chose Colonia del Sacramento. Having stayed in a variety of accommodation, we deliberately chose what we thought would be a "known quantity" sort of hotel, and indeed it was. The staff were very pleasant, the room was large, overlooking the swimming pool and River Plate. Breakfast was plentiful, the restaurant was comfortable. The one thing that could do with improvement was the bar area, which formed part of the restaurant. There was only one seating group around a table, and once the first people had arrived and sat there, there was nowhere else for other people to sit and enjoy a drink. Plenty of space to put more chairs and tables, so I'm not sure why they didn't. Also, the service at the bar was very slow, and one had to look for someone to order from - maybe they don't want a nice friendly bar area, but it would have been nice! But overall, very good, and a very good location in town too.

Great location for Old CityPosted Dec 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
Ideal position for Old City, great restaurants and a pleasant pool to relax by after a warm day and lots of walking. Breakfast most adequate and staff helpful. First room we were taken to reeked of smoke but willingly moved to another room, just a pity it did not have river view and afternoon breeze. Air conditioner fair.

Medium quality...Posted Jul 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
I asked for a room with 2 beds, and when they brought me to my room, they only had 1 big bed. We asked for another room, they didnt have one, then they said they would put a bad quality one in the room, which we accepted. Anyway, they didnt send it. We went for a walk for 3 or 4 hours because we thought they would put it there, and they didnt so we had to call again. The A/C didnt work so we had to call someone to repair it. They repaired it but still, cant you just check if it works before someone goes to the room? Internet worked weird and disconnected. The positive perks is that we got free breakfast and dinner which was not listed here so that surprised us. They have a nice pool and a kids club that we didnt use anyway but just wanting to tell my experience.

It would have been nice to know that only 3 adults are allowed per room before booking a room that has 2 double beds, a room perfectly comfortable for 4 people. I think the Radisson company should reconsider their policy or offer only 1 bed per room if you want to limit the amount of people per room and make more money out of people traveling (often on a budget) which clearly is the main objective of this corporate hotel.

Very standardPosted Nov 11, 2011
Location: Better choices - with more character in heritage part of town.
The hotel was very standard American type hotel with not any real character. However it was clean and relatively convenient to sites.

Great location and extra nice!Posted Oct 31, 2011 on Hotels.com
This hotel is located only about a block from the main street in Colonia where all the restaurants and shops are in the historic neighborhood. Our room had a riverfront view and since it was a corner room, we had a 180 degree view of the river and shore. The king sized room included two recliners, a big flat screen, a full frigobar (pay for what you use), n expresso machine w/expresso, a beautiful roomy bath, two closets, a dresser, and table w/chairs and we still had lots of room to move around it. It was super clean and super quiet. The grounds include an indoor and outdoor pool w/views to the riverfront, large terraces and a small casino (the only one in Colonia, I think). The breakfast buffett was outstanding w/hot entrees and every fresh fruit and bread you can imagine. All in all, a great stay....wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy it, but we only had one night. Definitely worth it!

Nice, Clean, Central PlacePosted Oct 27, 2011
Location: Old Town, and do not loose the opportunity to see the sunset from the yatch club.
Located at a waliking distance to the majority of the attractions of Colonia, we recommend this hotel to spend 1 or 2 nights, walk the street of the town or rent a golf cart and drive around the whole city. The staff is very friendly, and the rooms are confortable.
