Nice hotel on the beach

Posted Jan 1, 2014
Pros: Right on the beach. Lovely restaurant
Cons: Room was very small and not bathroom could use updating
Location: Right in Punta. Loved La Barra for shopping
Very nice hotel, one of the very few I saw on the beach. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was very small, but we paid such a low price that we were ok with that. Would definitely go back and recommend.

Amazing Stay at Serena

Posted Dec 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
I loved everything about my stay at this hotel. The front desk staff was incredibly nice and very knowledgeable about PDE. They were also willing to help us get whatever it was that we needed. The facilities were very nice. The ambiance was very calm. The beach itself was great. Loved everything about this hotel.

Hotel Serena... A piece of paradise!

Posted Dec 3, 2013
Our five day stay at Hotel Serena was wonderful and just the place to escape the bustling high energy of our trip to Buenos Aires. It was a lovelyovation... Directly on the beach with close proximity to restaurants as well as the privacy we wanted after being in Buenos Aires. Gaston and Natalia were exceptional and all staff were very accommodating. Could not ask for a more picturesque location or a more relaxing stay!

Short stay - too chilly too enjoy the beach or pool. But the location, decor, and staff are first-rate.

Serene at the Serena Hotel

Posted Mar 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
I just got home from spending 4 fabulous days at the Serena Hotel. Everthing was what I expected and more. Clean and comfortable rooms, with room service twice a day. Delicious food and drinks at the restaurant. Excellent beach and pool service (ie towels, loungers and cabanas) and great spa facility. The only disappointing thing was the outdoor pool was too dirty to swim in. It was mossy and green perhaps because its off season, however the ocean and indoor pool made up for it. The purpose of my trip was to unwind and relax and the hotel definitely delivered. The 18+ restriction definitely is a bonus. A++

Great beach vacation

Wonderful place and a beach vacation. Internet didn't work in the room but I think that was temporary. A little different but a very nice beach vacation location. The staff was extraordinary.

Dissapointing.

Pros: Service from staff was very good.
Cons: View not as promised, very small room and very expensive food.
Location: Nice beach location, over 1 hours walk to the city.
Staff were good but our room was very small and we had to step over our suitcases. Our ¨city views´´ were not of the city at all. Our view was of the busy highway and 2 equipment rooms. Food was average and far too expensive.

Great beach, disappointing room

Posted Feb 14, 2012
Pros: Location on the beach
Cons: Price / value for amount spent
Location: Out of town, but right on the beach. Easy enough to get into town.
This hotel has location going for it. The outdoor area by the pool and the ocean was nice with comfortable furnishings. I had arranged by email for a car service to pick us up at the airport - didn't happen. Front desk staff said the driver got the date mixed up. The room was quite disappointing - clean and comfortable enough, but when you're paying a premium for a room, you'd expect a little more. There was free wifi, but nowhere to comfortably sit with the laptop. Our room did have an outdoor sitting area, I think one of two rooms that had this amenity. The housekeeping staff was great - swooped in to do our room up while we were down at breakfast each morning. There was turn-down service at night. Breakfast was decent - no hot food, but nice fruits, pastries, etc. Had to hunt down the staff for refills on coffee and ask more than once. We used the local buses to get us into and back from town. Buses are the equivalent of $1 US and were reliable. Would we stay there again? Probably, because we are "beach" people and the beach was fabulous. That is the trump card Serena has to play.
