Cozy Boutique Hotel in Vail Village

Posted Jul 29, 2015
I've stayed in many different hotels in Vail and always wanted to try this one. A lovely smaller hotel in the village but just enough on the edge to be peacefully quiet, even on weekend nights. Room was nicely sized with deluxe bathroom. The entire staff was incredibly pleasant and helpful, especially Melissa at the front desk.

Very nice property!

Pros: Everything
Cons: Directions to the property. Sign states no entry, made finding the hotel a little difficult.
Beautiful clean room, friendly staff. Will stay there again.

Quaint luxury for quick visit to Vail

Posted Jul 14, 2015
Pros: We liked the location, the luxury, and the hospitable staff.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
Location: Location was great for walking in town or following the trail by the river. When we return, we will explore further.
We stayed one night in Vail at the Austria Haus and enjoyed it very much. The king Lupine room was beautiful, and we had one of the balconies to people watch and enjoy the views. Breakfast included waffles with fruit toppings, oatmeal with several add-ins, boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, cereal, and coffee from Vail Mountain Coffee with wonderful flavor. The staff was very hospitable, especially Josh, who met us at the designated parking spot and provided advice and assistance throughout our short stay. If you wish to avoid expensive restaurants and go casual, we recommend DeliZioso, a little market/deli. We shared a panini, added chips, yogurt and a shared croissant for a light dinner.

Second visit and still sold on the place

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Pros: location, facilities and staff
Cons: All hotel rooms face north with some noise from the street below. But with windows closed its not an issue
Location: In the center if Vail, Starbucks in the same building. Great location to launch outdoor activities.
Second summer visit to Vail and stayed at the Austria Haus Hotel again. Staff is helpful, facilities are great, breakfast is excellent and can be enjoyed in the open air overlooking Gore Creek. AC unit was on the fritz when we arrived and they got right on it and had it fixed promptly. Well run operation with plans to return in the future. Summer pricing very attractive.

A pleasant surprise

Posted Jul 2, 2015
The hotel is at the best location, convenient for shopping, hiking, or simply relaxing. The breakfast (included) is incredibly good and generous. Free village parking and transportation are just a few steps away. Overall, a great deal.

Terrible stay due to Expedia and rude front desk

Posted Jul 2, 2015
I booked through Expedia and arrived at the hotel to find they had no reservation for me. After confirming my intenerary with the rude front desk clerk, he told me that Expedia had booked my room at a completely different hotel, in a totally different city. He was barely able to accommodate me. Needless to say, Will never book through Expedia or stay at the Austria Haus in vail, ever again.

Pros: The rooms are spacious and well appointed, bathrooms are extremely well cared for, and enjoyed the quiet comfort.
Cons: Put a larger, but tasteful sign in front of the Hotel. We older folks have some difficulty identifying the place.
Location: Just ask the staff, they'll answer all your questions.
Although the Hotel is a bit hard to find, it's a beautiful place and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Front desk people are polite, competent and very helpful, especially Oliver, a fine young man.
