“Nothing special”

Its expensive for what it is, but the location is pretty good. There are much nicer places to stay for the same price though. Check out The Charter

“Best guest service that we have ever had!”

This was a beautiful hotel. It was very comfortable and super clean which is always my main concern. They had the best guest services that we have ever experienced. Our microwave went out and they were in our room replacing it in 3 minutes tops. My husband called to see if he could get more coffee for the coffee pot and he barely sat down before he had to get up to answer the door. They were awesome. We will definatly stay here again!!!!

Dining
We walked to the outdoor shopping area and ate at the Blue Moose. They were very reasonable and had Great Italian food. The Pizza was a must have!

“Loved Beaver Creek - it was like being in Christmas Town! Stunning!”

My husband and I enjoyed a couple of peaceful days at Beaver Creek Lodge. The indoor/outdoor pool was amazing. We enjoyed our swims in the snow! The surrounding area was stunning. We hit Beaver Creek between seasons so it was a sleepy little getaway!

“nice...but”

This hotel is nice. Room was clean and staff was nice. However...the tv reception in our room was horrible. The ac made a loud clunk every time it turned on and, the morning we checked out the fire alarm went off in the entire building and we were told to evacuate(through a speaker and pre-recorded message in the room). My girlfriend had just taken a shower and was scrambling for cloths when they announced it was a false alarm. But that didnt get the alarm turned off any time soon. This was my first time here, so much for first impressions.

“Beaver Creek Resort”

This is a wonderful resort for off ski season. The grounds are beautiful, not many people, and everyone is friendly. We felt very alone on this trip. NO CROWDS..A place to go to have fun and adventure.

Area recommendations
I went to Beaver Creek in between the summer and winter season. It was very nice. There were no crowds and not alot of visitors at the hotel. There were no wait time at restaurants, but some of the shops were closed. Overall we loved it.
When to go
This was the best time to go..After schools have returned and before ski season. The weather was wonderful.
Getting there
We flew into Denver and the drive to Beaver Creek was about 2 hrs. The scenery is beautiful and you can stop in other small towns along the way.
Getting around
We had a car rental. But there are shuttle buses in and around Beaver Creek.
Family-friendly activities
We enjoyed hiking, played 2 rounds of golf at area golf courses. The golf course at Beaver Creek is expensive. Went on a rafting trip out of Buena Vista, and Hot Air Ballon ride out of Breckenridge.

“Terrible experience DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL!”

There is mandatory wallet parking at this hotel (no choice, unless you want to park down in Avon and wait for a shuttle to take you up to the resort). every time we left the hotel, we were asked the most bizzare questions (where are you going? are you leaving? when are you coming back?). If we needed things from the car, we had to wait for the guy to give us the keys and again explain why we needed to go to our car. After two days, my wife had to leave and I arrived to stay with her 15 years old son (we stayed 3 more days). She had to leave before i got there: when she asked for the key to her car, the manager of the hotel told her point blank that she could not leave until i got there. The manager was not as you might expect at a resort of this kind or even at a Holiday Inn. She was rude, disrespectful, spoke to my wife as she was a criminal. My wife was ready to call 911 so that she could leave. The manager's problem was that there was no credit card on file for the room: in reality the hotel had been paid in full already and my wife had offered to deposit cash to cover any incidentals when she first arrived but was told it was not needed. Bad customer care, BAD BAD BAD!

Area recommendations
stay away from the Beaver Creek resort. the cost of the hotels might be lower than in vail, but you are hostage of these people. Plus, the cost of restaurants in Beaver Creek is outragious, while the quality is mediocre (an example of this is the sushi restaurant up there: an assistant chef prepared the sushi for us while the chef was nowhere to be seen. it cost us 200USD for two people for a mediocre sushi.
