Christiania

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Price, cleanliness, friendly staff and comfortable feel of the hotel.
Cons: Coffee could have been a tad stronger...
Location: Excellent in Vail Village and close to the Gondola
I looked at many hotels prior to choosing the Christiania. The reasons for choosing this hotel was due to the excellent reviews and value in the price. The hotel holds up to the reviews. Honestly, I was extremely happy with the hotel. The location is excellent, steps from Vail Village and the gondola. The staff was friendly and helpful, parking for one vehicle was free and when my friend arrived with her car they let her park for free as long as there was enough spaces to accommodate all the guests! Breakfast was simple and also included. The room was clean and had fresh, comfortable bedding. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone and will plan to stay there again in the future!

Can't beat the location. VERY CLOSE to Gondola One and the Village. Beyond that the room and amenities leave a bit to be desired.

Great location! Comfortable room!

The location was perfect, right in Vail Village. A 100 yd walk to the gondola, and you can ski up to the hotel at the end of the day, right to the ski valet, where they store your skis, poles, and boots. Room was comfortable, rustically decorated and clean with a balcony overlooking the mountain. The hotel's front desk and door service was pretty casual - not overly attentive, but very pleasant. The price was very resaonable too, especially right around Christmas. I'd definitely stay here again.

The rooms were clean, staff very friendly and service great. Room was a little smal but it had everything we needed and we were really only there to sleep. The continental breakfast was fantastic and good value for $8 pp. The hotel location was very good, only a few minutes walk to the gondola and if you happen to eat at a restaurant in Vail village, then you can always get a free local bus ride back to the nearby street corner. Met our needs entirely.
