“way better than a 2”
Chrisie Lodge was very comfortable and everything we wanted, an easy bus ride to Vail and a good value
“Only a walk away”
This hotel was only a walk away from where I needed to be for my conference. The only down side was it was very confusing set up inside. Stairs that didn't go to every floor or went no where. The parking lot was big, but confusing to find.
“WOULD STAY AGAIN”
The rooms are very comfortable and well furnished for a weekend stay.City Market is within walking distance and kitchen utensisls needed for microwaveable meals are available. There is also an electric skillet, coffee maker, small refrigerator and diswasher in the kitchen area. The pool and hot tub areas are well maintained and I found the staff to be friendly and helpfull.
“Would go back again but only for the summer price”
I thought it was a little strange that the bed was right next to the main entrance of the hotel room. Our comforter had blood on it which was a little disturbing. The shower curtain wasn't a plastic material so water leaked out. The stairs in general was confusing and few from none. Overall though I did enjoy how there was an indoor and outdoor pool and hottub. The front desk help was great. The neighborhood was great. I would stay here again but check the room first and find a better rate.
“Great place to stay!”
I would definitely go back to The Christie Lodge to stay again! My daughter had a skating competition in Vail, it was only a 10 minute drive to the ice rink, we had dinner in Edwards and it was 10 minutes away also! Loved the location as it was easy to access! The hotel was located off the interstate so I was worried that we would hear the sounds of trucks and cars all night when we were trying to sleep but once we closed the patio doors we didn't hear a sound from the highway.
“Great time spent at Christie Lodge”
Great overall time spent in Avon - I would recommend you stay here.
“Great ski location.”
The Christie Lodge was a great place for our Spring break. Location is great - close to the slopes of Beaver Creek, Vail, Breckenridge. Rental places and shops are walking distance. Shuttle service is excellent. Rooms are small but we did not spend much time indoors. We went there to ski so the Lodge was perfect for spending the night after an exciting time at the slopes.
“Christie Lodge Ideal for Vail & Beaver Creek”
We had a great stay here in the 1 bedroom suite. Loved having the kitchenette and the extra room, since I wake up early. Staff was helpful. Outdoor jacuzzi was a bit crowded, and the outdoor pool was too cool, but there are indoor ones also. And the skiing was great.
“Great option to the expensive condos in Vail Valley”
Just returned from a 4 day stay at Christie Lodge. Took my 11 year old son skiing for spring break. Really enjoyed the stay. The suite was very nice but not really fancy (which is more my style). Hotel had everything we needed. Room was clean upon check-in. Kitchenette was nice, as we were able to eat a few meals in the room, although keep in mind that there is only a microwave, electric skillet and a toaster so you need to plan for that, if you expect to fix any complicated dishes. Outdoor heated pool, Hot Tub, and indoor pool were nice and well maintained. Room had two tv's and a DVD player. There was a redbox in the grocery store 2 blocks down the road. My only complaint would be the room on the 3rd floor. When we checked in the, hallway seemed to be about 90 degrees, as the heat from the pool and hot tub rises in the glass atrium. But the room had a porch and screen door to keep the room cool. The other complaint would be the bed was a bit uncomfortable, but not horrible. I would go back again.
“Christie Lodge, Beaver Creek, Vail and Breckenrige”
Second time here at Christie Lodge. Love the place. Love the new outside hot tub and pool. Overall experience was very good. The only exception was the Snow Ball. This is a young person concert where 15000 people show up in Avon. The front desk and security did their best but it was not the same clientele. They were loud and while not exactly out of control they were not courteous. Will not stay here during the concert next year should it return. I do understand that other venues had similar problems during this time.
