We have stayed here before and had a good experience. This time, the carpet was wet by the fridge and it took two calls to get it cleaned up. The people in the adjoining room smoked pot all night and the smoke filtered through the door to our room. I called the desk at 3 am and no one would answer the phone. Since there was no air conditioning we had to open the window to the sound of interstate 70 all night. The pot smoking started back up in the morning and still no one answered the desk phone. Not a good experience this time.

Best Room for the RatePosted Sep 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed in this hotel for the second year In a row and will probably do so next year. The hotel is older and may not be as 'shiny' as some of the newer places in town or in the vicinity but we actually like tha about it. If you've ever lived or traveled through Europe and stayed in smaller, privately owned and established places you get this place. If you're a high maintenance type please book the Four Seasons you wouldn't be happy here. The owners could invest some dollars in mechanical updating (AC) but they do provide a fan and the windows open so you can draw cooler air in from the outside at night. The staff has always been nothing but helpful , welcoming and attentive. A special shout ourt to Paul for some terrific restaurant choices! This is Vail people and anytime you can stay in this town for less than $200 a night during the summer it's a good thing. Price wise for me Evergreen hits that mark! We travel with teens that enjoy the heated outdoor pool and we all like the indoor hot tub. The fitness room has enough equipment to keep you for breaking routine. Our favor part of the day is a night cap from the bar that we love being able to enjoy on the Lodges' back patio listening to the water rushing in the creek behind the property. Yeah, we will definitely see ya next year Evergreen!

According to two individuals I spoke with who work at the Evergreen, the hotel has recently been bought out by the same owners as the Solaris in Vail. Apparently, the entire staff has been replaced! Everyone I dealt with during a three day stay was friendly and helpful from check in to check out. The last day we were there, breakfast was free for the following four days. Not the fanciest place you will ever stay but you can't beat the location. Looked like upgrades were in progress while we were there. No need for AC as just open a window (all with screens). Walk to town and bus very easily. A great value for the money in a high priced neighborhood.

Would stay here again!Posted Aug 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
It's a great place to stay in vail. The only issue I had is that the telephone system was down. If you need anything, you will have to go down to the reception and ask for it.
