Pros: Hot tub
Location: Convenient
We stay here about every year, really good value, and handy shuttle to the slopes. Food and bars right across the parking lot.

okay, great for skiing

This hotel is not renovated, and the staff is not great. However, if you're looking for a place to b sleep between ski days, it does just fine.

Competent and friendly staff. 3 nice eateries on premises. Close to Shopping, though not in Vail Village. Free shuttle to Vail Village. Recommend to anyone.

Decent stay - right off the highway

No issues - one of the nicer Holiday Inns. Right next to the highway (but far enough to not hear the noise), as well as a Safeway & McD's

If you don't need a luxorious hotel, this is the one! You have everything including equipment rental. Free shuttle to Lions Head every 30 minutes.

Reasonably Priced and exactly what you need

Overall the hotel was great. It was not in "vail vilage", but about a 5 minute drive away. The hotel had a free shuttle service every half hour to and from the mountain, so it was actually very easy for the ski trip. The rooms were pretty nice (we had one of those two floor condo rooms. we even had a fireplace in the room! Next door was Sports Authority to rent ski/snowboards for cheap, a Qdoba, McDonalds, Subway, 7-11, and a full supermarket, It actually worked out great... I would go back.

Great price, mediocre hotel
Posted Jan 3, 2013
Pros: Price, price, price
Cons: Smell, shuttle service is horrible
Location: Location is very good
For the price I guess there aren't many options but I must say there should certainly be a better alternative. The Good: PRICE! - We could actually accommodate 2 couples in the 2 queen bed room! Location - West Vail, 10 minute drive to the ski resort. Lots of shops nearby with almost everything you could need. Staff - Was very nice and helpfull The Bad: Cleanliness - Our floor had a humid (wet socks) smell to it which was very annoying. Building - Seems a bit old and like it has been a while since it has been renovated. Shuttle Service - Just horrible. It leaves every half hour which during peak season can be a nightmare. We arrived downstairs and had just missed the shuttle by a few minutes. It then came back 45 minutes later only to have to battle with a mob of guests to get a seat and even then the other couple with us could not make it on. So we had to split up and they had to wait another 40 minutes for the shuttle to come back. We lost almost 2 and half hours of skiing because of this fiasco which is very nerve wrecking when the whole point of the trip was to ski. Conclusion: You really cant beat the price especially when you are allowed 4 people per room. And since you are basically skiing for most of the day anyway you can survive in a sub par hotel. But if you have the money you are better off staying somewhere else
