Other than having trouble cooling down the room and the necessity of buying instant coffee since no actual coffee maker comes with the room (hot water maker only) ... no problems!! Wife and I gotta have the coffee when we wake up. Not accustomed to going downstairs to get it first thing in the morning. Not a show stopper due to the location however.

Our girls' outing really loved our condo at Montaneros. It was located in a great spot right in the Lionshead Village area, with close access to shopping, restaurants and the free bus route to the center village. We liked that this establishment is smaller, more boutique than some of the others. The pool area is spectacular with a super clean heated main pool and two whirlpool spas. The flowers and plantings around the pool and condo units are magnificent in the summer. We had hummingbirds right off our patio. Each unit is owner-furnished, so it's kind of hit or miss what furnishings and amenities you get. Our 1-bedroom had some quirks to it, but the front desk was extremely accommodating and helpful in resolving the couple of minor issues we had. Would return here again in a heartbeat. Staff really goes out of their way to make you feel welcome.

What an incredible staff! is the first impression as we arrived at 10pm darkness after a one-hour drive from Leadville.
The hotel staff was all about getting us settled into our room while no doubt noticing our worn-out state on our faces! We had been to visit our son for Parents Weekend and completed our first day with him in over 2 months away as a junior in high school--and the emotion of that plus the drive to a new place for us--Vail--at my son's request--was visible!
Two young, but clearly poised, men greeted us in front of and behind the counter and made sure we quickly knew what to expect in the hotel--the top notes of a fitness center, spa, and library / game room off the lobby--and the town and local events (last day of major Ski Sale in the Ice Rink!) when we got up--we were in our plush beds, clean and asleep!
And, as they explained the night before, it was a delight to wake up and work out--run through the town and a visit to the Fitness Center--and head over to the Ice Rink for 2 hours of shopping! before continuing on exploring the day.
I think it was pure luck that we stayed at The Sebastian--we had never used Expedia or any other booking system--always word-of-mouth, so this was an exception and amazing for a short unexpected stay.

The hotel Sonnenalp brings you to the best Austrian Alpine hotel experiences right in the center of Vail, which itself resembles an Alpine Village. It is a 5 star resort and I couldn't find a single negative. If you can afford it you won't be disappointed. Guaranteed.

Very nice hotel/condo. The staff is more than accommodating on anything I asked of them. They have a DVD machine in the lobby similar to redbox only it is free and a good selection of movies to watch. Everything was wonderful and the condos we stayed in were updated. Bed was hard in my room but others in my party liked their beds. Would totally stay here again!

This unfortunately was a very short visit; just a little less than 24hrs. The hotel sits in a very quaint courtyard like area and beautifully fits the entire setting. Check in was simple; the young lady at the desk was very helpful and accommodating. Our room was super clean and very comfortable with great beds. It had all the conveniences needed for our short stay but also perfect for the extended stay. We were there in early October and while the pool and hot tub were still open, we felt it just a little chilly to indulge, but it was wonderful that it was available. Breakfast was a light continental; not super stocked but given I didn't realize it was available in the first place it was a nice surprise. There were several places to eat locally and all of what you would want for this short or extended stay were in walking distance. I know different strokes for different folks, but I think you would have to be exceptionally fussy not to enjoy your stay at the Sitzmark Lodge. I'm not sure what the room costs are in season, but this was more than reasonable. Give it a shot, you shouldn't be disappointed.
