“Pleasant surprise!”
My husband and I traveled during off season to Vail (Oct 2011) and enjoyed a wonderful stay @ Lion Square Lodge. The reason we booked this hotel was location and parking was free. It is conveniently located on west side of Vail and City Center can be easily reached by foot. Room was very adequate and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. (Refrigerator, Microwave, coffee maker, plates + silverware + Internet) I can recommend this facility!
“Best deal in vail!”
I had no idea what to expect as there were no reviews. The hotel is very nice and clean. Reception folks were very nice. Amenities were were above par. Over all very satisfied an will definitely will be returning and referring friends!
“Great Location, Dated accomodation”
I was here during a conference in the off season so the restaurant/bar was not open so that was a bummer. The location was great and I was able to walk everywhere. It would be a great place during the ski season as it is right at the bottom of the gondola. The room, bedding, bath, and decor are good but dated. It could go with an upgrade. There was free computer usage on the lowest level which was helpful. I was pretty much just sleeping there so it was fine for that. The room I had had a nice balcony and the views on the other side towards the river and the ski hill must be great. My room looked over the parking lot. No room service was also not good. Not sure if they have that in the winter or not. Overall, the place was good.
“Great Property in an Excellent Location”
Spent a couple of days in Vail for a conference. LSL is right in the middle of everything, but still feels secluded. Room was comfortable, pool area is on the sunny side, and the staff was laid back and professional. Can't speak for high season, but the location alone can make up for any other issues you might be worried about.
“Very Impressive!”
I am not sure why this hotel is only rated a 3 star hotel...It is a very nice hotel with comfy rooms.
“Loved this place”
Loved staying here! The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Location was good. Loved the view of the mountain. It was great to be able to walk to most of Vail via the pedestrian/bike trail. Rooms were clean and housekeeping did a great job. Would Definately go back.
“A great hotel and a great location”
In the middle of shopping and dining. Hotel is located right on the walking path that goes through Vail for miles. A perfect location and hotel. Would definately recommend.
“Beautiful Views”
Near the gondola ride and walking around Vail Village. Very comfy down topped beds. Lovely pool that the kids enjoyed and very hot hot tub.
“"Location, location, location!"”
Excellent location in Lionshead Village. We will be going back and staying there again. Walking distance to everything. The staff was wonderful. Very helpful and friendly. Loved this hotel.
“Best Place to stay in Vail”
Excellent location. Great service. Friendly staff. Walking distance from all the interesting attractions.
