Great place to stay near VailPosted Jul 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
Overall we had a great time at Montaneros. Very affordable condo in the heart of Lions Head VIllage. Very clean and great location. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Div is the man and knows the area very well and was incredibly helpful during our stay.

great value in vailPosted Jul 15, 2013
The room was more spacious than I anticipated, with a full size fridge and fully outfitted kitchen. Basically, it was a well furnished one bedroom apartment that easily accommodated the 4 people we had. The staff was also especially friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our needs.

Comfort & LocationPosted Jul 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
My family of 4 stayed at the Monaneros and would definitely stay there again on our next visit. The condo was clean, beautiful, spacious and the beds were very comfortable! The condo is in walking distance to many restaurants and shops in Lionshead. It is steps from the Gondola. It is also a short walk to Vail village. The pool was clean. The front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. No downside to staying here.

Great value and service in an excellent location.Posted Mar 29, 2013
Pros: Great location
Cons: A bit of noise in the hallways at night
Location: Right by the bus stop. Short walk to restaurants and to the gondola.
I recently stayed at Montaneros Condominiums with my husband and our 12 year old son. We started out in a one bedroom condo which was clean, comfortable and very nicely furnished. Unfortunately, I fell on the ice and broke my arm on our first day skiing, so when I got out of the hospital, we requested a larger room. They were able to move us into a one bedroom with a loft for a small additional charge. That made it easier for us as I needed to be able to hang out in the living room with my icing machine for much of the day. The staff, and particularly the concierge, Div, could not have been nicer or more helpful. He found me two local women who were able to trade off helping me out -- getting to PT and buying me lunch -- so that my husband and son could go ski. The second condo had a particularly nice view of the mountain and was also very comfortable and well appointed. My husband and son did use the hot tub (obviously, I was not allowed to) and said that it was really nice. The location is excellent -- right by the bus stop, and also very near to restaurants and to the gondola. I highly recommend.

vacation for family of fourPosted Feb 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very good location, however I wish the mountain would put a convenient shoe locker at the base of the gondola so you don't have to walk too far in ski boots on bricks. It beats on you boots and is not fun. The condo was nice, however I would pull the almost shag carpet out and put in hardwood. The gas grill on the deck was nice, we were able to eat in an couple nights and save some money. The staff was friendly. The new hot tub is nice, but the old one is very noisy. Expensive to me, but the best value for the area.

In the Center of Lionshead VillagePosted Oct 17, 2012 on Hotels.com
I would highly recommend this hotel based on it's location in Vail. The general store is right outside the lobby entrance and 10 minutes on the walking trail will get you to Vail Village. Park your car here for free and you'll never use it while you stay in Vail. The rooms were comfortable and stocked with everything you could want, including makeup removal wipes! As of right now, they are doing construction on their main entrance that required the lobby to be closed at 5pm. It looks like the construction should be complete by November 2012, so regular lobby/pool hours will be in effect then. For the price, I think this is one of Vail's best kept secrets!

Great Spot in LionsheadPosted Sep 4, 2012 on Hotels.com
Montaneros is a great condo building. The location is great - and the staff was even better. The pool was great for kids. The only thing we did not like was being close to Moe's BBQ - as we stayed during an Alabama football game and heard the patrons screaming ROLL TIDE as we fell asleep. Bottom line is that we will definitely go back - and request a condo away from Moes....

The condo was very big and the location was awesome. Just a short FREE bus ride into town. Would stay there again for sure!
