Birthday/Anniversary Celebration.Posted Sep 6, 2013
Pros: Casual elegance is the best way to describe this resort & spa.
Cons: NOT A THING!
Location: The Village of Vail is interesting; cozy. A remarkable happiness to walk down Meadow Rd. in the evening.
The hotel is better than I remembered! Happy hour is 4PM til 7PM, 50% off appetizers/drinks. That evening we reserved a table for the "Swiss Chalet". We ordered racelette for dinner; the dark chocolate fondue for dessert. "Ludwig's" was our indoor outdoor choice for breakfast. What lovely dining rooms, fantastic service, impeccable in everyway, as is the whole resort & staff !! "The Bulley Ranch", was fun for lunch; the servers could not have been more charming! The indoor outdoor pools; jacquzzi's were easily reached as the hotel is very quaint; service oriented. A surefire guaranteed relaxing get-a-way.

European Swiss ExperiencePosted Aug 19, 2013
Pros: Everything in a word. We particularly enjoyed the piano bar and talented performers who made you feel you had known them for years. The Swiss chalet !
Cons: Grab bars in the tub/shower would provide an extra security for seniors. Balcony patios be checked daily for pigeon droppings.
Location: Gondola ride to top of Vail Mountain, scenic drive to Continental Divide, golfing, plethora of restaurants to choose from with Kelly Liken being must!
Delightful, impressive, warm and inviting! The staff were all so very gracious and accommodating. They truly couldn't do enough for you and made you feel regal and special. It felt like home . The food in all the restaurants was exceptional. I would love to experience this wonderful hotel in the winter as I am sure it is just as serene as in the summer. The grounds were beautifully landscaped. What a beautiful memory to have forever!

Ok for the pricePosted Aug 11, 2013
Pros: People were friendly
Cons: Bed and pillows were below par
Location: Great location
We got a room # 347 which is clustered inside. The tv doesn't turn far enough to watch in bed. Early in the morning you are right next to the housekeepers quarters and they are loud. Slamming doors and overall loud at 6:30 am. The spa is good but the hot tub and the pool were overran by kids and foreigners that didn't stop their kids from being loud and overall pain. I give this hotel 3 out of 5 but for the price(expensive) I give them a 1out of 5. There are better options for the price.

Good location, nice hotelPosted Aug 7, 2013
Pros: Staff, breakfast included
Cons: Room size, in Juniper room. would prefer a desk or dresser to having 2 upholstered chairs. Need more places for storage, especially with 2 doubles
Location: Vail is beautiful, plenty of activities for all in family, including my 5 year old
Initial room (Juniper), was quite small, particularly for this level. Bad a room with 2 queen beds and could not open 1 of the closets enough to be useful. Also, very little drawer space or desk space for this quality of hotel. Had some issues with noise and bathroom. Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. After first night, was given an upgraded room at no extra cost. This was much larger, quieter and made for a much more pleasant experience. The breakfast was very good. Rooms did not have individual coffee makers, this would have been appreciated. Overall experience was good, thanks mainly to the staff. If not for their efforts and upgrade, rating would have been lower.
