Dated

Posted Jan 14, 2015
Pros: Location is beautiful
Cons: Update hotel
Location: Far from anything to do, but if you like seclusion and quiet the location is great
Hotel is getting dated and is a bit rundown. It is a highly rated but does not live up to expectation. Carpets are old, they actually had an old 4:3 TV n the room. Did not know they made those anymore. Isolation from rooms above and to the side was really bad. Very noisy.

Convenient hotel close to Beaver Creek and Vail

Posted Jan 13, 2015
Pros: The staff, the access to ski clubs and the shuttle.
Cons: The rooms could use some updating. Only 2 roundtrip shuttle services offered (7:30 & 9:30am/ returning at 3 or 5pm). They also book up fast.
Location: Our daughter enjoyed the movie theater in Edwards and the Lodge's indoor pool.
This was our first stay at the Lodge. Overall it was a good experience. We will stay there again. This is not a ski in/ ski out hotel, but does offer shuttle service to ski clubs in both Beaver Creek and Vail. This perk along with the price was what prompted our stay here. The ski club at Beaver Creek was incredibly convenient and the staff at the club (specifically Jim) very professional. The location of the hotel offers beautiful views but requires a drive into the town of Edwards for groceries, etc. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall, a nice experience.

Nice Hotel, Exceptional service, beware if you ski

Posted Jan 9, 2015
Pros: Ski club access in Beaver Creek was a great benefit and hospitality was exceptional.
Cons: Availibility and frequency of shuttle service to Beaver Creek is not convenient, especially having to reserve specific times beforehand to ensure seat
Location: Isolated from most things which is good and bad. Not within walking distance to anything outside of the resort.
We took a long weekend to ski at Beaver Creek and stayed here. The hotel is decent and the service is exceptional. The one issue that we had is that you have to take a shuttle to get to Beaver Creek, and we weren't aware that you had to make reservations for specific times that the shuttle leaves. We attempted to do so when we got there and we were unable to get the required times for our son to get to ski school on time for 2 of the days, so we had to take an hour earlier shuttle one day and drive ourselves the second day. You would think that since the location is the only real downside for this resort, they would do everything possible to make it a non-issue by making the service more accessible. The place wasn't even that busy, so I can't imagine staying there during ski season when it is busy. The ski club was a very nice perk, and the hospitality there was exceptional. Well worth the stay, but they really need to address the shuttle situation before I would consider staying there again to ski.

Nice hotel

Posted Jan 4, 2015
The hotel was outstanding and the front seat staff was very nice and professional. The only problem we observed which drove us crazy was that you could clearly hear people next door. If you are with your children and do not want them hear Nasty stuff, you need to consider another hotel. Other than that, the hotel was very nice and in a picture perfect location.

Quiet lodge located above quaint Edwards, CO.

Posted Dec 16, 2014
The staff is friendly and polite as should any hospitality professional. The spa has all the amenities you need but I would suggest the staff provide the slippers or a spa kit in each room (in addition to the robes) and highlight the amenities at check in for each guest. The food is well prepared and full of flavor. Make sure all the food comes out at the correct temperature. Some of the serving staff have some maturing to do, i.e. if you drop something do not laugh on the way out. The better service you provide the better the tip. Some of the tableware contained dishwasher residue. Staff need to make sure all tabletop items are clean. Billing often provided 4 receipts and would ask for two signatures. Harbor Touch provides restaurant order/ billing systems with clean presentation and organization. The room is comfortable but could use facade work near the shower/tub area where the plaster is pealing. The forced air fan is loud and often comes on at the most inconvenient times. Cable television would often break up in the middle of a game or television episode. Staff constantly cleaned the grounds during my stay. This was just for the room I stayed in. The majority the lodge is quiet and removed and the fresh snow provided the opportunity for new guests to take advantage of the full winter activities. Cleaning staff quickly dresses the bed and provided towel replacements and staff made sure to inquire about further needs.
